IO Interactive A/S has announced that their spy-thriller action–adventure title, HITMAN World of Assassination, is scheduled to launch on iOS this Summer 2025. This exciting announcement was made during the first IOI Showcase June 2025 Livestream.
Prepare to experience the definitive stealth-action experience
HITMAN World of Assassination is a globetrotting stealth-action game that blends roguelike elements with deep strategy. In this game, you play as Agent 47, the iconic assassin, exploring detailed locations, uncovering secrets, and taking down targets with complete freedom in how you approach each mission.
I’m excited about this iOS port, as it brings together the best of HITMAN 1, 2, and 3 into one complete trilogy package. I loved the campaigns and various modes like Contracts, Escalation, and more when I played on PC. And thanks to this port, we will soon experience the full trilogy on mobile.
You can take advantage of your surroundings, manipulate NPCs, and perform elimination in creative ways. Plus, you’ll be able to shape your own narrative, but every choice comes with consequences. I especially like how each target feels different, with its own set of obstacles and objectives.
No more cloud services will be needed with this native iOS launch
While it’s possible to play the game via mobile browsers using Xbox Cloud Gaming, with this iOS version, you won’t have to depend on cloud gaming anymore. That said, I’m also eager to explore its 20+ locations, filled with intriguing characters, new targets, and challenges.
Also coming to iPad and Mac, you can look forward to this fun and thrilling stealth-action experience, offering a stunning, living, and breathing world, various gear, highly replayable missions, characters, game modes, and more. I hope it will someday come to Android devices as well.
Hitman World of Assassination is set to launch on iOS this summer. You can pre-order the game via the App Store. You’ll be able to play the ICA Training Facility Missions (tutorial) and Sebastian Principle Escalation in Dubai for free. In the meantime, you can also check out Hitman: Blood Money – Reprisal.
