HoYoverse is gearing up to release Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.2 update, titled “So Laughed the Masses“, on April 23, 2026. This update promises a wave of content for you, with two new 5-star characters, Evansia and Silver Wolf Lv 999, a free limited 5* character, and the Honkai: Star Rail 3rd anniversary check-in event.

New location, Seafeld City. It’s a tourist hub on Plancadia’s coastline. It is home to the Seafeld TV Tower.
New Playable Character and Reruns in HSR Version 4.2
Silver Wolf Lv 999

Evanescia

Elation Trailblazer
In Version 4.2, we will get Lightning Elation Trailblazer mc. He buffs the Elation DPS characters’ overall damage, provides Crit damage, cleanses effects for a designated ally, and grants either an “additional Elation Skill or advances the skill.

Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.2 will last only for 42 days, so each phase will only last for 21 days. Evanescia and Silver Wolf Lv 999 banner will last for 42 days, and each rerun banner will last for 21 days.

Hoyoverse officially announced an HSR anime adaptation in their 4.2 livestream, which will be animated by Mappa Studio. They released an animation trailer, and it’s looking gorgeous.
