Honkai Star: Rail is a new HoYoverse space fantasy RPG, which like the classic RPGs offers a great many options when it comes to character choices. Bronya is a 5 Star Wind-type element playable character Honkai: Star Rail, Bronya takes the Path of Harmony and produces massive offensive buffs to her party. She is the best all-rounder offensive support because of her unique ability that can advance the turn forward of a designated ally. In a turn-based game, this is extremely important as it enables your overall party to gain an edge over your opponents.
She is ranked as the strongest Wind-type element for version 1.1. Bronya can be obtained by pulling from the Character Event Warp Banners, Stellar Warp, and Departure Warp banners.
Best Quantum Element character – Seele
Seele is a 5-Star Quantum-type Element under the Path of Hunt. Seele being from the hunt path is extremely deadly and a silent killer. After using her Technique, Seele gains Stealth for 20 seconds. While Stealth is active, Seele cannot be detected by enemies. And when entering battle by attacking enemies, Seele will immediately enter the buffed state. Seele can acquire multiple turns from her unique talent that provides her an extra turn after defeating an enemy.
Additionally, Seele is currently the strongest single-target DPS in the game and is renowned for her massive single-target damage from her Skills and Ultimate.
Best Lightning Element character – Jing Yuan
Jing Yuan is a 5-star Lightning-type Element under the Path of Erudition. He is highly skilled at dealing significant damage to multiple enemies at once with his area-of-effect attacks. He can easily exploit the weakness of lightning-vulnerable enemies, weakening them considerably. Jing Yuan is exceptional at dealing consecutive high damage and effortlessly clearing waves of enemies. Jing Yuan is a standout character for early content progression due to his accessibility and impressive capabilities.
With abundant energy and remarkable speed, he effortlessly and efficiently clears content, dealing multiple rounds of damage in a single turn. Currently, he is considered one of the game’s strongest and most versatile characters.
Best Fire Element character – Fire Trailblazer
The Fire Trailblazer is a Fire-type Element that takes the Path of Preservation. Despite being a free character, the Trailblazer with its Fire-type element is extremely strong for current game content. The Fire Trailblazer can protect the whole party by providing them shield and can also taunt enemies to tank most DMG during battle. The Fire Trailblazer also has decent AoE Fire damage and can also provide a strong Fire-type weakness break. The damage from its Ultimate is also decent as it scales over the DEF stats of the Fire Trailblazer.
Overall the character is very balanced from every perspective and can be a very good choice for players who aim to deliver collective blows to their enemies while providing protective supporting capabilities to the party.
Best Imaginary Element character – Welt
Welt is a 5-star Imaginary-type Element that takes the Path of Nihility. Welt’s primary focus is on delaying enemies by significantly reducing their speed (SPD). Additionally, he possesses skills and an ultimate attack that deals considerable Imaginary damage to enemies while inflicting them with a slow effect. Currently, Welt is the sole character of the Imaginary type in the game, although there are plans to introduce more in future updates and the expected addition of Luocha in the second half of version 1.1. Welt is a versatile addition to any team, providing substantial support and enhancing their performance.
He particularly shines in end-game content due to his Imaginary-type element and is highly valued for his ability to debuff enemies by reducing their overall SPD through his skills and ultimate attack.
Best Ice Element character – Gepard
Gepard is a 5-star Ice-type Element under the Path of Preservation. Gepard’s kit is centered around his ultimate ability, which allows him to grant a significant amount of shield to the entire party, effectively nullifying enemy attacks. His main role is to protect his team by creating shields, and he also utilizes his skill to specifically target high-priority enemies, preventing damage to the team. Gepard greatly benefits from defense buffs and has the ability to draw enemy attacks toward himself instead of his teammates.
Gepard is extremely strong in endgame content like the Forgotten Hall and Simulated Universe, his massive shield will be extremely useful especially when players opt to choose the Preservation Blessing.
Best Physical Element character – Clara
Clara is a 5-star Physical-type element under the Path of Destruction. Clara has a distinctive playstyle centered around the counter system. Her gameplay revolves around utilizing Svarog and its interaction with marks and counterattacks against enemies. Clara excels at dealing significant damage to marked enemies and has the ability to retaliate when she herself is attacked. With her taunt ability, she functions as a tank, drawing enemy attention and enabling her to unleash counterattacks against them when she takes damage.
Clara can greatly work with allies that provide a shield, further maximizing her counterattack to no limits.
