For all Manga fans, there is another video game adaptation coming your way. Kaiju No. 8: The Game, a new action title has been announced for release and is in development, no release date has been confirmed as of now by the developers, Akatsuki Games. Kaiju No. 8: The Game will however be released for Android, iOS, and PC and will be a free-to-play title with in-app purchases.
The game will follow in the footsteps of the series and feature the ultimate battle between Kaiju and humanity
Although no official lore has been confirmed for the game, it can be expected that Kaiju No. 8: The Game will follow the series’ lore and reflect on humanity’s struggle against the Kaiju monsters. Not only this, the game could also feature some of the familiar faces from the series, as all of humanity unites against battling out with the monsters that threaten its very existence.
As in the series, the focus could be on the main protagonist, Kafka Hibino who aims to join the elite forces, Defence Corps posing the main challenge against these monsters in conquering Earth. The attacks of these monsters have troubled Japan for many years and now it’s the time to have some payback as all join forces in removing the Kaiju threat once and for all.
If you ask me, Kaiju No. 8: The Game will be a treat for all Manga fans especially the fans of this specific series. A point to note is that the premise is not yet set for the game, hence it could also feature the same storyline from a different perspective of another protagonist. Thus adding more value for fans as they will able to experience the story from a unique perspective again.
The developers are yet to confirm an official release date for Kaiju No. 8: The Game
Kaiju No. 8: The Game has been announced for a release on an undisclosed date, this confirms that the game is in development.
