Riot Games just revealed the new expansion for Legends of Runeterra, named Monuments of Power. The expansion comes out on October 14th with a host of new things in it, including a new keyword, new event, and modes. New card type in Legends of Runeterra Monuments of Power
Landmark
Riot has revealed one of these Landmark cards – Vaults of Helia for the new expansion. Moreover, these Landmark cards need regular mana to be played and can neither attack, be attacked, or be used to block.
In addition, only certain spells will interact with these cards, such as Falling Comet and Singular Will. Moreover, the new expansion Monuments of Power will revolve around these Landmark cards.
New Event in Legends of Runeterra Monuments of Power
We are getting a new event similar to the Spirit Bloom Festival. Not too many details are available regarding this event at the moment. But progressing for rewards in this new event will be easier and the event’s tone will be very different from the Spirit Bloom Festival.
Spectator Mode
A brand new mode is coming into the game with this new expansion, Spectator Mode. The first iteration of Spectator Mode will be coming out somewhere in November.
Card Customization in Legends of Runeterra Monuments of Power
Riot says they are working on multiple types of cosmetics for cards. Although an official release date has not been mentioned, they have teased one of these card cosmetics called Card Styles. Additionally, Riot says these can be earned (implying you don’t have to pay for some or any of them) for every card in Legends of Runeterra.
Seasonal Tournaments
Tournaments that will take place at the end of each season and are designed to be the apex of competition. They will take place in-game. Over 1000 players in each global region will be able to compete. However, to qualify you must be one of the top-ranked players in your server or one of the first players to complete the final gauntlet.
