Microsoft-owned social platform LinkedIn is now looking to introduce games within its premises. It will introduce puzzle-based games limited to very short time play and get fun. The platform already has three titles planned for the new phase and they are named “Queens”, “Inference” and “Crossclimb.” As confirmation has been made regarding the games, the platform hasn’t said any date or time for the launch.
As reported in TechCrunch, Nima Owji, an app researcher, shared the news on Twitter where several titles are displayed. Later, a spokesperson confirmed the news and said that they’re adding puzzle-based games.
LinkedIn to launch games, wants its users to have fun while interacting with others
LinkedIn has learned the way to use the audience. With 1 billion users, this is the perfect time when the platform can shift the users to spend a few minutes doing other things. So, the people will also get freshness as they join in the fun games to keep them entertained and focused on the job they are for on the platform.

The purpose will be to add fun, deepen relationships, and kick off conversations with people connected in the same field. The spokesperson who confirmed the news said that the images from Owji’s post are not appropriate either for the time being. So, we can assume the pictures are old and we may see new designs and interfaces as well as interactive menus.
An interesting ranking system to follow the games on the social platform
The ranking system will work interestingly on LinkedIn. Companies will be ranked based on the performances of their employees. But whether LinkedIn will take charge of verifying the employees of a company or even if it is a legit one is still uncertain.
Microsoft is watching a promising future in the gaming industry more sustainable than its software business. Subsidiaries like Xbox, Activision Blizzard, and ZeniMax earned $7.1 billion in revenues in FY24 Q2 which is more than the amount the company received from Windows. But for the launch of games on LinkedIn, it is not sure if the tech giant is operating the gaming scene.
Platforms not focused on gaming are coming down to business as the market value of the gaming industry is huge. Facebook had its gaming app platform but it shut down in 2022. However, we will get to know how the games on LinkedIn performs after they arrive.
