Kabam Games has some spooky fun in store for its popular PvE action title Marvel Contest Of Champions (MCoC) this Halloween October 2024 update as part of the game’s 10th anniversary celebration. We have a lot of new arrivals, including the new Champions who are entering the battle, exciting events are happening, and there’s a lot to look forward to, so let me give you an overview of the same.
Marvel Contest of Champions (MCoC) October 2024 Halloween Update overview
Released back in 2014, the game celebrates its 10th Anniversary this year, having been a popular title for both Kabam and the MARVEL franchise.
New Champions: Scream and Jack O’Lantern
Scream
She’s the daughter of Venom and sister to Carnage, created by the Life Foundation from Venom’s symbiote. Scream bonded with Donna Diego, a security guard, and together they’ve been through many struggles, fighting Spider-Man and Venom. Now, she’s back, with a grudge against other symbiotes. Scream arrives in the game on October 17.
Jack O’ Lantern
Once a young boy kidnapped by the villain Crime-Master, Jack was trained to become a master assassin. Known for leaving candles inside the skulls of his victims to mimic a jack-o’-lantern, Jack is as terrifying as he is skilled. He makes his creepy entrance on October 31, just in time for Halloween.
Event Quest: House of Horrors
Jessica Jones teams up with The Summoner to solve a case involving a strange symbiote problem. All the clues point to a spooky killer carnival. Scream is already there causing trouble, but things get worse when Jack O’Lantern powers up some creepy animatronics! Can our heroes make it through this terrifying ride, or will this turn into a ghost story? Find out in HOUSE OF HORRORS!
Side Quest: Jack’s Bounty-full Hunt
In another twist, Jack O’ Lantern becomes the host of the Gladiatorial Games. Champions are forced to fight for survival, with Jack putting bounties on his enemies. Will you be able to survive the madness and claim the rewards? Log in to the game and find out!
Anniversary Battlegrounds: Season 22
The Anniversary Battlegrounds run from October 2 to October 30, 2024. This season comes with unique buffs and challenges and will have two tracks.
In the Victory Track, you’ll need to use special Buffs and keep Fury active to gain an advantage. In the Gladiator Circuit, only Critical hits will deal damage. If you play smart, you’ll earn guaranteed Critical hits for a short time as a reward. As part of Glorious Games, keep an eye out for more events, bounty hunts, and surprises throughout the anniversary celebration.
Marvel Contest of Champions (MCoC) 10th Anniversary additional Content and Events
To mark its anniversary, MCoC will unveil 10 exciting updates. It kicks off with the Glorious Guardian Reworks, Alliance Super Season, Bounty Missions, and a 60 FPS update.
Glorious Guardian Reworks and 60 FPS Update
Medusa (introduced in 2017) and Purgatory (introduced in 2021) will get reworks to keep them balanced with the expanding roster of Champions. Additionally, in November, MCoC will upgrade to 60 FPS for smoother animations and a better gameplay experience for everyone.
Planned Events
This season features new events to encourage players to join Alliances and team up with friends for exciting gameplay. Deadpool’s Ultimate Multiplayer Bonanza: Alliance Super Season will be one.
To celebrate the release of Venom: The Last Dance, MCoC will feature special Venom-themed events. Players who log in for 7 days between October 21st and November 15th will unlock rewards, including Venom and Anti-Venom Champions.
Bounty Missions
Bosses from previous Event Quests are back in The Battlerealm. Track and defeat them in 1v1 battles. Joining an Alliance will give you access to better rewards, so make sure to team up!
Alongside these, to celebrate the 10th anniversary, a Champion will be given away every month leading up to December 10th, 2024 in Marvel Contest of Champions. I suggest you not miss out, and check out the official site for more details.
