Masang Soft, a South Korean game company has revealed that they have the IP of the popular side-scrolling RPG, King’s Raid from Anic Inc. (formerly known as Vespa), now re-releasing the title which was recently discontinued on March 15, 2025.
Masang Soft promises to re-release King’s Raid after a period of preparation
King’s Raid, a strategy-based real-time RPG developed by Vespa, was initially released in February 2017 and quickly garnered hype thanks to its real-time 3D battles, anime-like characters, and stunning visuals. However, despite its success, Anic recently had to terminate the game as it was unfeasible for them.
The shutdown marked the end of an era for one of the most beloved Gacha games of this generation. But in an unexpected miracle, Masang Soft has stepped in like a savior, successfully acquiring the game’s IP and giving fans a new hope.
“We expect to proceed with the re-service of King’s Raid after a certain period of preparation through this IP acquisition, and “King’s Raid is a game with excellent gameplay and a loyal fan base. We will do our best to ensure that the service of this game is restarted.”
