- Mindset GO! is the first video game to appear in print, with a new puzzle featured each week on The Observer’s logic page.
- The game uses Venn style logic to solve shape sorting puzzles based on shared attributes.
- The game comes from devs behind popular titles like Pixelgrams, Chime and Stardew Valley.
Magicave has announced an exciting partnership with The Observer, the world’s oldest Sunday newspaper, bringing their new puzzle title, Mindset GO!, to the print medium. This exclusive UK collaboration is the first of its kind, offering a new puzzle each week on The Observer’s logic page.
Solve Mindset GO! puzzles in your Sunday newspaper’s logic page
Mindset GO! just launched this September, and has already managed to get a weekly puzzle spot on The Observer’s logic page, which is pretty impressive. So, as for the game, it comes from Ste Curran, the creative director of Magicave, and revolves around the Venn diagram logic, a challenging concept.

When it comes to the actual gameplay, you can solve puzzles by sorting shapes based on shared attributes, which looks both visually and logically satisfying, at least to me. And, you can also track everything you unlock through My Sets, a kind of trophy cabinet of Shape Sets you’ve earned.
So, as you clear Weekly Events or progress through Map Zones, you earn new Shape Sets, and by completing all rules in one, you earn a shiny golden badge. The thing I liked is that once unlocked, these sets stay with you forever. Considering it secured a deal with The Observer, albeit limited to the UK, makes me more curious to try the game.
However, if you’re just as curious as me, you can download the game from the Google Play Store or App Store and try it out yourself.
