- Neo mo.co revamp brings classes, new systems, and a complete redesign of core gameplay.
- Power grind removed as progression shifts to mastery tracks, class unlocks, and player rewards.
- No shutdown risk as mo.co continues development as the big 2026 update still awaits a release date.
mo.co enthusiasts have some good news, finally, as the monster-hunting action RPG from Supercell dropped its second episode “mo.convo” developer podcast, which promises a storm of updates with the “neo” revamp.
This time, they brought creators directly into the discussion with Community Manager Joao Freitas, letting them play the new version, test the weapons, and share honest feedback. So here’s everything I learned, explained in the simplest way possible.
mo.co shifts to classes, with power progression removed with the neo revamp
The biggest change is the move from builds to classes. Instead of stacking random gadgets and rings to make a build work, you now get pre-designed classes where each weapon has its own abilities, combos, and playstyle. This instantly solves the old issue where only a few builds were actually usable.
Now, every class is made to stand on its own, whether you want something simple to chill with or a high-skill weapon that demands timing and precision. Another huge topic was power progression, and it has been confirmed that the neo mo.co will not have the traditional level-based power grind.
Instead, your growth comes from unlocking more classes, completing mastery tracks, earning cosmetic rewards, and increasing your player level. It means you can play with friends no matter how long you’ve been away, jump into new content instantly, and avoid feeling left behind.
Progression now revolves around daily jobs, rifts, player level rewards, mastery tracks, and a steady flow of class tokens. The devs even confirmed the plan to release a new class every two weeks, which means you’ll always have something fresh to work around with without any resets.
I’m guessing many of you remember the confusion around its future. After Supercell confirmed Squad Busters will shut down next year, players started worrying that mo.co might be next. But it was explained that low revenue was part of the long-term plan, not a shutdown signal.
Right now, there’s still no official release date for the next big neo mo.co update. 2026 will be the time when we get a release, so waiting is on now!
