- MOONTON will share more details on M7 Championship in the coming days.
MOONTON’s hit MOBA title Mobile Legends: Bang Bang has announced the location of its grand esports event. The MLBB M7 World Championship will take place in Indonesia in January 2026. The location was revealed along with a few other details regarding the event. Mobile Legends released an announcement video for the M7 host city.
MOONTON’s recently announced esports roadmap mentioned that the event will take place in January. And now, we have the location announced. With the commencement of M7 in Indonesia, this will be the second time for the country to host the highest esports event of Mobile Legends.
MLBB M7 World Championship finds home in the SEA countries
Indonesia hosted the fourth installment of the M Series World Championship, the M4. Before Indonesia, only two countries hosted the event more than once. And Indonesia is one of the major regions for MLBB esports, so it’s understandable why MOONTON didn’t take a shift to another country.

However, MOONTON is trying to decentralize its esports events. We already witnessed the MSC 2024 in Saudi Arabia. Mobile Legends published a teaser today for the announcement. From the M7 teaser video, the MLBB community already started gossiping about the possibilities.
The video sparked several theories as well. However, the game managed to complete 2024 with a successful end. And Indonesia already has experience hosting the event once. So, the country will surely gift another groundbreaking event.
MOONTON will share more details on the M7 World Championship later
There will be a total of 22 teams competing for the grand prize of USD 1 million. It will kick off with eight Wild Card teams fighting for two coveted Main Stage slots. These two teams will join the 14 directly-qualified Main Stage teams in the fight for MLBB Esports’ most prestigious title. The slot allocation for the M7 is as follows:

| Regions | Slots |
