Mobile Legends Patch 1.8.50 Update: Hero Adjustments, Battlefield Adjustments and more

New updates in the Advanced Server!

With the break of the new year in Mobile Legends, developers at MOONTON Games have devised a lot of small hero balance changes to balance out the meta in the new year of 2024. A lot of content has arrived in the game, which includes the new skins and events for January 2024, along with the release of the new hero, Cici. Let us break down more about the Mobile Legends (MLBB) Patch 1.8.50 Update.

Mobile Legends Patch 1.8.50 Update: Hero Adjustments

Fanny (↑)

Devs have adjusted Fanny’s damage to make her use Skill 1 to deal damage more often and allow her to use her ultimate as a finisher more easily.

Skill 1 (↑)

Total Physical Attack Bonus: 80% >> 88%

Ultimate (~)

  • Energy Cost: 30 >> 20
  • Base Damage: 500-860 >> 500-750

Alice (↓)

After the last update, Alice has shown an overwhelmingly powerful laning ability as a Jungler in the mid to high Ranks. While Junglers can cover lanes, devs also need to make this situation more balanced.

Skill 2 (↓)

  • Damage Bonus Based on HP: 3.5%-6% >> 2.5%-5%
  • New Effect: Damage bonus based on HP can deal up to 250-500 damage to creeps.

Ultimate (↓)

  • Hitting creeps no longer reduces the cooldown of Skills 1 and 2.
  • Recovery on Hitting Non-Hero Units: 50% >> 30%

Balmond (↓)

Devs are glad to see Balmond has more chances to shine in battles. However, in recent data, Balmond’s damage in team fights has become too high due to the increased Movement Speed and the uninterrupted effect of skill 2 along with the War Axe, leaving other Jungle Heroes less used in the higher Ranks. Developers have decided to revert the damage increase for his skill 2.

Skill 2 (↓)

Damage increased with each subsequent hit: 12.5% >> 7.5% (This took effect with the 1.8.44 update)

Edith (↑)

Heroes on the EXP Lane wearing the War Axe and Brute Force Breastplate have all grown in power, so developers have decided to buff Edith’s power in the late game to make her more viable.

Passive (↑)

Bonus Damage: 4% Magic Damage Based on Max HP >> 3-6% (based on level) Magic Damage Based on Max HP

Argus (↑)

Heroes on the EXP Lane wearing the War Axe and Brute Force Breastplate have all grown in power, so the devs have decided to buff Argus’s power in the early game to make him more viable.

Attributes

  • Base Attack: 100 >> 111
  • Growth of Each Attack: 4.25 >> 3.5
  • Attack on the Max level remains unchanged.

Skill 2

New Effect: Creeps can now be cursed.

Aurora (~)

Developers have adjusted Aurora’s values in the hopes that she’ll be able to deal more impressive control with her moves in the mid to late game, rather than dealing burst damage to a single target.

Ultimate (~)

  • AOE Damage Bonus: 200% Magic Power >> 150% Magic Power
  • Control Duration: 1.5s >> 1s
  • Control Duration Bonus: Adds 0.1s for every 100 Magic Power >> Adds 0.2s for every 100 Magic Power

Wanwan (↓)

She still has excessive agility, and developers have tried reducing her jump speed before, but it had too much of an impact on her control experience. This time, they will try to reduce her jump distance in hopes of nerfing her chase and kite abilities with less impact on control.

Passive (↓)

Slightly reduced her jump distance.

Nolan (↓)

The previous adjustments are not ideal. This time, developers would want him to be more focused on the right time to enter the fight, and they would also revert the previous nerf to his damage.

Passive (↓)

Revert the buff on the pull.

Ultimate (~)

  • Remove Effect: Remove debuffs
  • Damage: 90-150 + 30% Extra Physical Attack >> 120-180 + 50% Extra Physical Attack

Yin (↑)

Developers want Yin to have more operative opportunities without Ultimate’s form.

Skill 1 (↑)

Cooldown: 10-7s >> 10-6s

Skill 2 (↑)

Slightly increased the dash distance.

Hanabi (~)

Based on player feedback, developers have decided to revert the previous nerf. In addition, devs would want to slightly reduce her laning suppression in the early game while increasing her fighting ability in the late game.

Passive (↓)

Slightly reduce the range of the bounces.

Skill 1 (↑)

Percentage of damage dealt to hero units converted to Shield: 20% >> 30%

Arlott (~)

Increase Arlott’s gain on attack equipment.

Skill 2 (~)

HP Regen: 5%-10% Total HP >> 90%-160% Total Physical Attack

Other Adjustments

  • Devs would fix an issue where heroes would continue to regenerate Mana for some time after leaving the base.
  • The redesigned skin for Sun is still in progress, so skins for Sun are currently unavailable.

That’s all for the Patch 1.8.50 Update in Mobile Legends!
