Yve, the Astrowarden, looks very much similar to Zhask and the story confirms the similarity in Mobile Legends. She is the new hero introduced in the latest patch of the advanced server of Mobile Legends (MLBB). She is not the soul mate of Zhask but the mortal enemy of Zhask as both of their races have been in war for ages. Yve has a pretty good set of abilities to deal with damage but is not annoying like Zhask. The description of her skills is very interesting, so let’s go through them.
Passive – Galactic Power
Yve gains Galactic Power when dealing with damage to enemy heroes with her skills. Each stack of Galactic Power increases 2% movement speed for her, capped at 10 stacks.
When she creates a Galactic Field, all Galactic Power will be reset, increasing the number of ultimate casts and removing the Movement Speed gain.
Skill 1 – Void Blast (AoE)
Yve detonates Galactic Energy in a designated area, dealing 250 / 290 / 330 / 370 / 410 / 450 (+120% Total Magic Power) Magic Damage to the targets. The targets in the central area will be slowed by 60% for 0 8s.
Skill 2 – Meteor Fall (CC)
Yve summons a pulsing meteor in a designated area, dealing 140 / 160 / 180 / 200 / 220 / 240(+24% Total Magic Power)Magic Damage to the targets hit.
Use again: Starting from the original place, the meteor will deal 70 / 80 / 90 / 100 / 110 / 120(+12% Total Magic Power)Magic Damage every 0.3s to the target and slow the target by 30% for 3s
Ultimate Skill – Real World Manipulation (Burst, Interrupted)
Yve creates a starfield in a designated direction that lasts for 10s. During this period, she can cast the Ultimate 15 times.
Tap: Deals 350 / 450 / 550 (+155% Total Magic Power)Magic Damage in a designated area in the starfield.
Slide: Deals 150(+24% Total Magic Power)Magic Damage every 0.5s to the targets in the designated area and slow the targets by 60% for 2s.
During this period, Yve is immune to any airborne effects. When being controlled, her starfield won’t disappear but she will be unable to cast skills. The starfield will disappear when she is suppressed.
Skill Analysis and Hero Overview
Yve’s passive ability is something that will be very useful during the entire match. The 2% movement speed with each stack would allow her to cover two lanes easily, assisting teammates. It’s like she would be having almost 20% movement speed with all the stacks. But she can only gain stacks by using the first and second skill on the opponent. And, also every stack would be used up with the use of Ultimate skill.
Yve’s first skill is quite simple and would most probably be helpful in getting the stacks. Her second skill, the Meteor Fall, is good with the continuous attack but the opponents can easily dodge the attacks. But the second skill will be very helpful in clearing the minion waves.
But her ultimate is something that will make her very dangerous. The ultimate skill covers a very large area and can deal with pinpoint damage within that area. So it will be annoying to escape the ultimate skill, especially during the team fight during the end. And the skill can do pinpoint damage and also continuous damage.
There would be no specific combo but to stack up the passive and use the ultimate whenever seems necessary. The initial gameplay suggests, she is easy to handle and the skills are easy to execute. She would be best used in the backlines like all mages.
Yve release date in Mobile Legends
Yve is just introduced on the advanced server, so a lot of updates on her skills and damage output are expected over the period of time. She would probably be available after the old heroes are launched with revamping on the normal server. The skills though effective but don’t look attractive for a MOBA, so more display effects would definitely make Yve a worthy hero to own.
