Mortal Kombat Mobile is celebrating its 10th Anniversary with a special update, bringing new fighters
Mortal Kombat Mobile is an action-packed 3v3 fighting game set in the Mortal Kombat universe featuring iconic characters like Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Raiden, and more. It offers various exciting game modes and reintroduces these beloved characters and lore from the franchise’s 30-year legacy.
Since its release on May 04, 2015, the game has expanded its roster to include over 175 fan-favorite fighters from every Mortal Kombat era. Now, as it celebrates its 10th Anniversary, it introduces two more characters, free in-game gifts, and more.
The 10th-anniversary update introduces MK1 Geras and Klassic Skarlet
I am very excited for this 10th Anniversary celebration as Mortal Kombat Mobile is set to bring two brand new characters to the game, namely, MK1 Geras and Klassic Skarlet, further expanding the roster of iconic fighters.

You can obtain both of them via the new 10th Anniversary Kombat Pass. Moreover, you can obtain Diamond MK1 Geras by completing the Premium Pass, and Premium+ Pass for MK1 Geras, along with exclusive Early Access to Gold Klassic Skarlet.
MK1 Geras
MK1 Geras, a powerful Hourglass Guardian loyal to Liu Kang’s New Era, controls time and sand. With his Sands of Time passive, you can activate the Hourglass, which reduces incoming damage and also heals the team.

His Colliding Worlds Fatal Blow is more exciting, as it is based on his iconic Mortal Kombat 1 console attack, allowing you to throw your opponent into a time portal, making them suffer twice.
Klassic Skarlet
Klassic Skarlet, inspired by her MK 11 Klassic skin, is a blood mage, with her blood lust growing stronger with every battle. With her unique abilities, you can drain your opponent’s life force, leaving them anemic, while enhancing your strength.

Moreover, you can also increase your Basic Attack’s Unblockable chance with her, making her a valuable addition to your team, especially Klassic teams.
Events and Changes coming with the 10th-anniversary update
There’s more stuff coming to the game with the anniversary update, details are below.
10th Anniversary Login Event
Along with the two new Kombatants, the game is also offering a free character for 10 days straight with a special 10th Anniversary Login Event. All you have to do is log in every day from April 1 to April 10 to claim them, while also learning about their origins in the MK Universe and the history of their arrival on mobile.
You can claim the following 10th Anniversary fighters: MK11 Scorpion, Klassic Noob Saibot, Piercing Mileena, Edenian Blood Kitana, Thundergod Raiden, Lizard Jade, Grandmaster Sub-Zero, Klassic Sonya Blade, Onslaught Jax Briggs, and Fire God Liu Kang.
Faction Wars Remaster

You are in for a treat, as Faction Wars has been remastered to Realm Klash, which is an all-out Realm vs Realm war. This remastered game mode will be available from March 26, 2025, and part one will introduce a revamped look and updated top-of-the-leaderboard rewards.
Tower of Time Event

The Anniversary update is also bringing a Tower of Time Event that will be available to participate until April 10, 2025. You can face new bosses like MK1 Geras in this limited-time, 50-Level Anniversary Tower. Plus, you can also unlock brand-new Equipment, thanks to this event.
Introducing new Brutalities

Every Mortal Kombat fan loves Brutalities, and to celebrate its 10th Anniversary, Mortal Kombat Mobile is introducing MK1 Geras and Smoke Brutalities to the game. You can unlock these powerful attacks by collecting the newest Equipment.
Despite certain concerns about the future of Mortal Kombat games after last year’s layoffs, this anniversary celebration proves otherwise. I hope Mortal Kombat Mobile runs for many more years, bringing more iconic fighters, events, and more.
