Netmarble’s much-awaited open-world RPG Game of Thrones: Kingsroad has started early access on Android in Canada and the UK. After successfully concluding a closed beta test last January, the game began taking pre-registrations in March with a global launch expected later this month.
Based on the American drama series written by George R. R. Martin, Game of Thrones: Kingsroad was first teased in 2022 and officially unveiled last year at the G-STAR 2024 event. Currently, the game is available for early access on Steam for PC and in selected regions of Canada and the UK on Android. We tried out the game during its closed beta, and the first impressions were genuinely positive.
Explore the iconic world of Westeros with some familiar faces, fighting the long night
The game puts you straight into the vast and iconic world of Westeros as a new original character rather than a familiar figure from the show. You will get to explore all of the seven kingdoms that make up Westeros.

Yes, being an open-world game and boasting a vast map, you get to roam and explore the iconic King’s Landing, Castle Black, and the dreaded Wall that protects the North. If you are an OG Game of Thrones fan, this will surely make you feel nostalgic! The game is set as a story-driven adventure RPG, one that is based on the show but retains its authenticity.
You start as an illegitimate child from a small but noble house in the North, House Tyr. No, you are not Jon Snow, but you will get to meet him soon as the story progresses. Game of Thrones: Kingsroad features a dynamic combat system giving you full manual access during battles and swordfights.

The game comes with three different classes: Knight, Sellsword, and Assassin, allowing the use of swords, bows, throwing knives, and more. Remember to take full preparations as the Night King is waiting beyond the Wall, along with his army of the dead, the White Walkers. Oh, and did we say the game supports full cross-play between PC and mobile?
