DW Studio has announced their latest 4X real-time strategy title, Order of Kings, with pre-registration opening on January 9 on Android, iOS, and PC. We can expect the game to release on March 20, 2026, based on the App Store’s listing.
Get ready to outsmart your enemies with real-time troop control and tactics
Order of Kings is a sandbox strategy set on a fully 3D topographic battlefield, and this one instantly feels different from other SLGs I’ve tried, such as Rise of Kingdoms, Lords Mobile, Age of Empires: Mobile etc.
You can freely command your troops while making use of each unit’s traits and attack ranges to outplay your enemies and conquer contested lands alongside allies.
But I mainly like how this one doesn’t include stat-focused mechanics like traditional SLGS, but you can instead win with real-time tactics avoiding automated battles. Plus, the 3D Terrain also adds more tactical depth, and I think it will be fun to use forests to hide troops or take the high ground for defense.
You can master troop positioning, control routes, use Strategist skills, and more
And this one’s actually challenging because troops have real collision, so how you position your troops to seize passes and control routes matters a lot. And the fun doesn’t end there, as you can also make use of the unique Strategist Skills that each Commander brings to the table, helping you change the flow of battle.
Overall, this one will be a fun one to test our strategic prowess with, and I can’t wait to experience everything. The game shows great potential with its real-time combat, strategist system, siege warfare, unit collision, Alliances, and mainly because there aren’t any VIP perks or building upgrade wait timing.
