Persona 5: The Phantom X version 3.0 update brings 5-Star Frostgale Kotone, new Main Story event, missions, and more

SEGA CORPORATION has announced the launch of the version 3.0 update of Persona 5: The Phantom X. Now live in-game, this massive update brings new gacha character, Main Story: Unconditional Love Phase 3 Release Event, Weapon, and more. Without further ado, let’s quickly dive in!

Frostgale Kotone arrives as the new 5-Star Phantom Thief in version 3.0

So, taking main stage in this version 3.0 is the new 5-Star Phantom Thief, Frostgale Kotone, who debuts via the Most Wanted Phantom Idol Contracts: Ice Princess, available until Feb 5, 2026. With her comes her exclusive weapon, now available to obtain from the Arms Deals: Silent Pistols.

Now, Frostgale Kotone is a 5-Star Assassin, with whom you can freely switch between Wind and Ice attributes. Moreover, her skills changes based on these attributes. In Wind form, you can provide team buffs and deal multi-hit damage on your enemies, while Ice Form lets you debuff enemies, grant shields, and deliver heavy attacks.

Plus, the more allies that share her attributes are in the team, the more damage you can deal, making her a solid option in a Wind or Ice attribute-centric party.

You can now clear Thieves’ Secrets: Mont’s Special Missions

You can now access the Mont’s Special Missions from the Thieves’ Secrets menu, and take part in the missions in Normal, Challenge, and Limited modes. In the Normal mode, you can try Frostgale Kotone for free, and by clearing all the stages, you can unlock the other two modes.

You’ll get Meta Jewels and Joy Medals as First Clear Rewards, while clearing each stage rewards you with items such as Fragrance of Iris, Purple Crystal, Skill Incense M, and Secret Tickets. I suggest to try them soon, as it will only be available until January 22.

Version 3.0 brings the Unconditional Love Phase 3 Main Story event

Now that the update is live, you can clear the Main Story Chapter 3: Unconditional Love to unlock new a new Palace and story content. After unlocking Phase 3, new explorable areas will open up in the Story Palace, with rewards including Meta Jewels, Plum Blossom Dango, Joy Medals, and training materials.

Lore-wise, you need to reopen the Palace which was sealed off after your battle with Katayama’s Shadow. You’ve to take action in the real world and also face the other Palace ruler. The event missions includes Main Story, Metaverse Exploration, Visions of Ruin, and Trial of the Astrolabe Missions.

Version 3.0 Update Content

Here are more new content that you can check out:

• Wonder-Exclusive Weapon: Abyss Fang is the new Wonder-exclusive weapon, that you can get from Dam Palace exploration rewards. You can exchange 500 Companio Coins in Companio Coin Exchange Shop and 500 Star Crystals in Star Crystal Exchange Shop for 1 Abyss Fang Shard.
• Mindscape Expansion: You can now unlock the inner ring of Mindscape. With the outer stat‑boost ring, you can choose between enhanced skills or stats to unlock using specific materials. You can also upgrade the skills with Stardust Gems and Venus Gems.
• Lufel’s “Business” Plan EX: By completing all missions in Lufel’s “Business” Plan IV, you can unlock a new Lufel’s “Business” Plan. The good news is each missions rewards you with Meta Jewels and training materials, and 1 Special 5-Star Weapon Case for clearing all missions.
• Trial of the Astrolabe: This is a battle mode where you can clear stages to earn enhancement materials. That said, there’s a limit to how many times you can take part.

And how can we have an update without some bonus rewards, right? So, you can now log in for  7 days during the login bonus period to earn 7 Platinum Milicoins which can be used in Arms Deals.
