Pokemon GO: How to connect to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Players of Pokemon GO and Pokemon Scarlet and Violet can now connect the two games together thanks to a recent update. Despite the fact that players cannot move Pokemon between games, they can send Postcards to aid in catching a unique Pokemon in Pokemon GO.

Postcards are closely related to the well-known Bug-type Vivillon. This organism can develop into a wide variety of forms, and each shape relies on the environment in which it does so. As one could guess, it is exceedingly ridiculous to need trainers to fly across the globe for each form of an average Bug-type.

Players can catch the Roaming Form Gimmighoul thanks to this new linking feature between Pokémon GO and Scarlet and Violet. Gimmighoul, in its chest form, may be captured by players in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. While it is not catchable, players may encounter its Roaming Form in the wild. Players must connect their two games and send postcards in order to receive a Roaming Form Gimmighoul, which is the only location to do so.

Players must enter their settings and take a few necessary actions in order to link Pokémon GO and Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. The most recent update for each game must be installed first, it should be noted. Players can follow the instructions below after both games are prepared to be connected:

  • Go to Settings in the Poké Ball icon in the upper right-hand corner.
  • Go to Connected Devices > Services Page and Select Nintendo Switch.
  • Sign in to the Nintendo Account connected to Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

To send Postcards, users will still need to link their Pokémon Scarlet and Violet to Pokemon GO. Players must visit their menu in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet and select the Poké Portal in order to use this feature. A Mysterious Gift will be available at the Poke Portal. The option to Link to Pokemon GO will be presented to players after choosing the Mystery Gift. Users must click “Yes” to approve the pairing of their game with a certain Pokemon GO account.

How to send Postcards between Pokemon GO and Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

A player can send a Postcard once Pokemon GO and Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are linked in their accounts. The Postcard Book, a game item that enables players to send Postcards to friends, is where postcards first appear.

The Postcard Book is explained in further detail by Poké Daxi on YouTube. Once every day, players can choose a Postcard from that location and send it to their Pokémon Scarlet and Violet accounts. Players must open the Mystery Gift option in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet and select Connect to Pokémon GO once more in order to acquire the Postcard.

In Pokemon GO, players can use a Coin Bag by sending a Postcard. A Roaming Form Gimmighoul can be attracted to the player’s location by the Coin Bag once every day so they can catch it. Players can get Golden Lure Modules, which transform adjacent Poké Stops into Golden Poké Stops in order to draw Roaming Form Gimmighoul, by sending repeated Postcards.

To transform Gimmighoul into Gholdengo, players can gather Gimmighoul Coins. A player can also catch a Pokemon form that isn’t presently accessible in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet by linking their Pokemon GO accounts to those games.
