The Pokémon Home launch will be in February, according to the official website. The exact release date is yet to be revealed. It will be available for Android, iOS and the Nintendo Switch. It offers a few features with a premium and a free plan as well.
Features of Pokémon Home
Pokémon Home is a cloud service provided by The Pokémon Company for the Nintendo Switch and mobile devices. All your Pokémon can be saved and be accessible from here. You can access your Pokémon Boxes from your Switch or your mobile device by linking it with your Nintendo Account as well. With Pokémon Home, you can move your Pokémon between compatible games or trade with your friends.
Moving Pokémon

The Switch version can connect with every Pokémon Switch game and the 3DS software Pokémon Bank, while the mobile device only supports the connectivity of the Pokémon Bank. There are plans to support Pokémon GO later as well.
Trade with your Friends
You can trade with your friends whenever you want and there are different ways of doing that.

- Wonder Box: Pokémon placed in the Wonder Box can be traded with people around the world before you even know it! The Pokémon placed in the Wonder Box will be traded even when you’re not using Pokémon Home.
- GTS: With the GTS, you’ll be able to specify which Pokémon you want to trade and which Pokémon you want to receive and then be matched with a Trainer whose requests meet your criteria. You’ll even be able to request Pokémon that you haven’t yet registered in Pokémon HOME’s National Pokédex!
- Room Trade: Room Trade lets you create a room and trade Pokémon among the people who join. Each room can hold up to 20 people. To add a little suspense, you won’t know what Pokémon you’ll receive until the trade is complete.
- Friend Trade: Friend Trade allows you to trade your Pokémon with other users who you’ve become friends with in Pokémon HOME. You can add friends using the Add Friend feature in Pokémon HOME.
Even more Features in Pokémon Home!
There are also more features that are pretty useful for Pokémon fans, like the National Pokédex. Just view all the Pokémon and check out the details of specific ones.

With the mobile version, you can also receive Mystery Gifts for Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield. Those can be either be a code or a gift for Pokémon Home specifically.

With the Premium Plan, you can also Judge your Pokémon and view their details, such as stats, ability or nature.
In Your Room, you can edit your profile with stickers, which you can obtain from challenges. You can also view information on events or the games you’re connected to.
In the mobile version, you can view your Battle Data on the various competitions you’re taking part in Pokémon Sword and Pokémon Shield.
