Pokémon Unite is introducing License Journeys this December, bringing a new way to get new Unite licenses

The month of December will introduce a surprising new feature to the Unite Licence system in Pokémon Unite. A new feature called “License Journey” will be added as a brand-new way to obtain Pokémon Unite licenses, effectively replacing Aeos Coins. I’ll be taking you through a detailed analysis of what this new feature entails. Let’s check it out.

The License Journey feature will open up new ways to increase your roster

The all-new License Journey feature is coming to Pokémon Unite on December 4th, 2025. The new feature will allow you to choose from several available Unite Licenses and then build up License Points to unlock the one you want.

Mostly, you can pick your target from a pool of 5 Unite Licenses, but at certain times, the system could let you choose from every Unite License in the game. Some new Pokémon licenses may appear in the License Journeys on the same day they launch in the shop. Therefore, it is best to build up as many License Points as possible to easily access new Pokémon.

How to obtain the Unite License in Pokémon Unite

Since License Journey will be the new and easier path to getting yourself new Unite Licenses. To this end, we’ll be highlighting some of the few ways you can accumulate License Points easily in this new feature:

Battle Pass Rewards

• Leveling up the Battle Pass lets players claim rewards, and these rewards now include License Points
• Some License Points can be obtained via the Standard battle pass, but players can obtain even more License Points via the Premium Pass. This means Premium passes won’t just include high-quality Holowear, they’ll also be a way to progress through License Journeys quickly.

Random Box Rewards

• By completing missions, players will be able to open a random box that’s distributed each day. By opening these random boxes, players can obtain a variety of items. Some of the items you could receive at random include Unite Licenses, License Points, and more.
• The Devs also hinted that some Future upcoming events will also contain License Points as part of the event rewards.

What will happen to Aeos Coins in Pokémon Unite

With the introduction of License Journeys this December, Aeos coins will no longer be distributed, and their use in the shop will be discontinued. In the meantime, you can use previously earned Aeos coins to purchase your preferred Unite License in the Shop.

However, in anticipation of the release of the new feature, the Devs have devised ways to exchange previously earned Aeos Coins for License Points. Important tips to note about the future of Aeos Coins in Pokémon Unite are as follows:

• As of December 4th, 2025, Aeos coins will no longer be distributed, and the Unite Battle Committee will no longer offer Unite licenses in exchange for Aeos coins.
• If you would like to obtain Unite licenses via Aeos coins, please do so before December 4th, 2025.
• After December 4th, 2025, the Unite Battle Committee will, however, continue to offer Unite licenses in exchange for Aeos gems.
• As of December 4, 2025, an Aeos Coin Exchange will become available. Here, players will be able to exchange previously earned Aeos coins for license points or various items.
• Aeos coins and the Aeos Coin Exchange will remain in-game until May 2026. Therefore, it is best to use it up while you still can.
