Ragnarok V Returns will hold its closed beta test in Oceania (Australia and New Zealand) from February 16 to February 23. Gravity, the developers of the game have further announced that the game will be available for pre-registration in March and the second close beta for both mobile and PC will commence from April.
Ragnarok V builds upon the legacy of Ragnarok Online: Valkyrie Uprising which was released on android and iOS in April 2013.

The game’s story follows the events after The Apocalypse. Humanity is prospering in Midgard and peace is prevailing in Midgard due to the actions of Baldur, the great light god of Asgard. During the Great White Horse War and the crisis of destruction that led to the Holy War it was Baldur who stood on the side of mankind and fought for peace.
In the temple a thousand years ago, he even made sacrifices to seal the body and soul. Mankind remembered his sacrifice and prayed for him in gratitude. However, mankind, who had achieved endless prosperity, gradually became arrogant and, forgetting the memories of his past, grew only his greed. Soon this arrogance and negligence reached their peak and a thousand years of peace came to an end.
The world was changing, starting with roars and earthquakes that took place over the course of several hours, and the mournful sound of a horn from somewhere in the sky. Everyone in Midgard heard the horn, and everyone who heard it, regardless of age or gender, wept without knowing why.
In the cathedral, it was officially announced that the sound of the horn was the beginning of Ragnarok. The people despaired, and the kingdom hurriedly recruited warriors. The game starts when an adventurer arrives who was destined to resurrect the hero-god who loved mankind more than anyone else.
The beta is expected to provide a sneak peek of the main story
The closed beta will be released this month with selected game modes and it is expected that the main story mode will be available. The data from the closed beta will reveal what players think about the story and mechanics of the game. As of now, the closed beta will only be available in Oceania. The developers have not yet announced when the game will be available for other regions.

Remember the game requires an active and stable Internet connection so have a strong network and preferably use your wifi. Additionally fret not on disconnection issues during content downloads, it won’t hamper or restart your progress. For obvious reasons since this is a closed beta test, your progress will not carry forward and will reset.
