Ragnarok X: Next Generation is celebrating its six-month anniversary with new content and rewards

Ragnarok X: Next Generation (ROX to its friends) is celebrating a six-month anniversary (or half-anniversary) of its US server this November. With new events and lots of rewards, it’s a great time to join in. Let’s get started with the celebrations!

Celebrate ROX’s half-anniversary with the new Thanksgiving Carnival

The first one, and very important to you players looking to max out, the level cap is getting a raise up to 90. Not only that, equipment will level up to 90, too. Once your main level is there, you can speak to a new NPC to improve your gear.

The Adventure Upgrade Thanksgiving Carnival is on the way, and in the spirit of generosity, there’s a million dollars’ worth of prizes to thank the community for making ROX what it is. It’s not just in-game stuff either. You can get some IRL gear like an iPhone 17, an iPad Mini, or Google gift cards.

Just play the event to earn Turkey Feathers and use them to enter the prize draw. Finally, but definitely not the least exciting news, there’s a preview for the upcoming collaboration with a famous JP anime IP. This will bring collab characters, clothing, and challenges.

Now, if you’re new to the whole thing, you might be wondering what all the fuss is about. Well, Ragnarok X: Next Generation, or ROX, is an MMORPG and the evolution of the classic of the genre, Ragnarok Online. The endearing art style of the original is now rendered in some pretty lovely 3D.

This is an MMO made with mobile in mind, but it’s not the kind of mobile MMO where you barely feel like you’re playing. The progress is your own, and you can get far ahead with a bit of skill and persistence, rather than relying on having to shell out real-world cash to succeed. This is an MMO for actual MMORPG fans who want to play an RPG online with their buddies, and we love to see it.
