- The relaunch will completely rebuild the game, updating growth, currency, gacha, UX, and content cycle.
- Refunds are available from tomorrow until November 27, with requests processed within six months.
Blackstorm has announced a complete relaunch of its 3D turn-based JRPG, Rememento: White Shadow. The game will temporarily suspend services on November 27 for the global version and January 31, 2026, for the JP version. It launched worldwide this May after its debut in South Korea last year.
Global version is suspending services this November, with the Japan version following in January
So, you might remember Rememento: White Shadow, the strategic turn-based RPG with an intuitive MP system and fast-paced combat. Here, you can build a team of four anime-style characters, switch between them mid-battle, and unleash powerful ultimate-like skills.
Unfortunately, the global version will be suspended on November 27, followed by JP next January. The team explained that “this decision is a necessary step toward creating a more refined and complete version of the game that can truly meet your expectations.“
Players can play until the temporary suspension and also request refunds
Blackstorm’s CEO, Doyun Kim, stated that they’re reviewing core issues and aligning with external partners to achieve a “fundamental improvement of the game.” The team realized that just adding “new content would not resolve the underlying problems.” It’s really encouraging to see devs willing to do a full overhaul rather than just patching over issues.
Now, this relaunch will revamp everything from the ground up, from growth and currency structures to the gacha system, UX, and content cycle. And until November 27, you can play the game, but in-app purchases are disabled, and no Nemonics updates will arrive, though Chesha and Cael Pickup Recall are available.
The good news is that, even though it is not a shutdown, but preparation for a relaunch, the team is still offering refunds, which begin from tomorrow until November 27, and your refund request will be completed within 6 months. That said, only unused Glowing Memory paid currency purchased since December 18, 2024, until now will be eligible.
