Retro Commander is an indie RTS title set to launch on mobile this November

Finally the game is going to get a full version release!

After being in development for more than 6 years, Noble Master Games is finally going to launch Retro Commander on the 25th of November 2023. The title is a real-time strategy (RTS) featuring different modes and cross-platform matches. On mobile, this title is free to start, with a one-time purchase to unlock the full game.

Noble Master Games is an indie developer based in the United States. Founded in 2009, the company focuses on real-time and turn-based strategy games for desktop and mobile devices.

Retro Commander has a cross-platform multiplayer feature in a post-apocalyptic world

The story takes place in a world where a cataclysmic timeline has transpired on Mother Earth. You can play solo, join friends in cross-platform multiplayer matches, or even play against AI. You’ll form teams and clans and fight co-op style with the AI and other players for ultimate victory. “Retro Commander tries to focus on both, a fun single-player and a thrilling multiplayer experience,” the game reads. Though the title is to provide an RTS experience, the developer kept the option to choose as you like to enjoy.

The multiplayer system can be enjoyed in a cross-platform mode, meaning that players using multiple platforms can join together in co-op matches. This feature also includes a ranking and rating system. Besides all these, the title comes with a dynamic weather and environmental system that includes day-night cycles, rain, snow, wind, and solar flare activity.

The game supports missions such as elimination, survival, capture of the flag, defense, and battle royale. These missions, again, can be enjoyed both solo and multiplayer. Retro Commander elements include stealth, shields, EMP weapons, nukes, portals, orbital weapons, assimilators, and other troops and structures that provide additional variety. Moreover, you can create your map using the map editor.

The launch is scheduled for the 25th of November, available to download now in early access

Despite being scheduled to launch on the 25th of November, you can still download Retro Commander now from the mobile stores as the title is currently in an early access version.

We plan to have the eventual bugs fixed, missing features added and the campaign missions completed. We also plan to add missing documentation such as how to do modding. We also plan to work on sound effects and music,” said the developers. Once the final version comes out, we may watch a more stable performance all over.

So, if you want to know a bit more about the official launch of Retro Commander, you can head to the official game page from the developer’s website. And, to download the title and experience the feature before the full version releases, you can get the game from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store and if you like it, you can get the full game for $19.99.
