Rocket League Sideswipe is the mobile version of the popular console game Rocket League, a car-based sports game developed by Psyonix. In the 7th season of the game, the developers are making some changes to the Rocket Pass and introducing Collection Rewards. The Rocket League Sideswipe Season 7 will start on the 26th of January, 2022.
Rocket League Sideswipe Season 7 brings Rocket Pass Update
Starting with Season 7, Rocket Pass progression will no longer reset between Seasons. Instead, Rocket Pass will become a permanent way to track progress while earning Items. As players level up, they will earn new types of Rocket Pass Presents that drop an assortment of previous Rocket Pass Items and in-game currency.

Token Shop
This season will also introduce the Token Shop Tab. In this new shop, players will be able to buy Season Presents, each of which drops a random Item from past Seasons. To buy Season Presents, they will need Tokens, a new currency that can be earned by levelling up the Rocket Pass and completing Weekly Challenges.

Rocket League Sideswipe Season 7: Badge Borders
As players level up in Rocket Pass, they will also earn Badge Borders to show off their career progression on the Rocket Pass Tab. Players start with Silver Badge Borders but can upgrade from Silver to Cobalt, Gold, and Onyx. Players will need to climb 11 Tiers to reach the next border colour, while each Tier adds a bit more flair.
Reaching Onyx Tier 11 will allow players to Prestige. Prestiging resets the Badge Border back to Silver Tier 1, but adds a star above the Badge Border so they can show off their accomplishment! Each time they one Prestige they’ll gain another star, and start back at Silver Tier 1. Prestiging does not reset any other game progression other than the Badge Border.
For our most dedicated rocketeers, there is one last task. When players reach Onyx Tier 11 with five stars they’ll receive the Aurum Badge Border, along with a Title to honour the last lap of your legendary journey.
Rocket League Sideswipe Season 7: Collections
Developers have added a Collection Tab to help keep track of the hoard. Although customization is its own reward, we felt an actual reward might be nice too! Whenever players collect every Item in a slot, they’ll also earn a matching Collection reward. For example, collecting every Boost will unlock the Gold Rush Boost, while a full collection of Wheels will unlock Goldstone Wheels.
Collecting a complete set of Painted Items will also earn rewards. If players own every colour of a single Item, which includes every colour of Octane, players will unlock a Chromatic Painted version of that Item. Chromatic Items will slowly cycle through every colour of the rainbow, which involves no more choosing between orange or blue when you can have it all!
It appears that any player who collects every single painted item will receive an extra super ultra rare Title. It’s even rumoured that the Title can be used in both Sideswipe and Rocket League.
