Blazej Cholinski, a 17-year-old solo game developer from Warsaw, Poland, has announced the launch of his 2D pixel-art action platformer, SlimyLeap, now available on Android. There is no information about the iOS launch, but this fast-paced title is coming to PC this month.
Play as a brave little slime and go the furthest to escape the creeping red frog
SlimyLeap is a fast-paced infinite runner where you dive in as a brave little slime trying to survive for as long as possible. I’m not sure why a slime is the hero here, but stretching and launching it like a slingshot sure looks fun. And, I love how it blends the Angry Birds style control scheme with classic platformer.

So, as you progress, it opens up to new environments ranging from grassy fields to jungle and mountains. Also, you’ll find each run slightly different thanks to handcrafted level designs and new challenges. Plus, I really found the creeping red fog tense, since it keeps getting faster the father you go.
You can easily control the slime with swipe gestures to jump and dodge while collecting gems to unlock skins. Oh, the retro-pixel art and background gave me strong Mario nostalgia, and all in all, it is a solid game by a 17-year-old, especially with fun sound design, local best-score system, animations, and more.
SlimyLeap is now available on Android, and you can download the game via the Google Play Store. Stay tuned for more updates regarding the iOS launch.
