- MLB The Show Mobile Baseball soft launches for Android and iOS in the Philippines
- This marks the first-ever mobile entry for the iconic MLB The Show baseball franchise.
- The details about the global release of the baseball title hasn't been revealed yet.
Sony has quietly taken a massive step that will surprise baseball fans: the debut of MLB The Show on mobile. Yes, MLB The Show Mobile Baseball is now available on Android and iOS, following its soft launch in the Philippines.
And before anyone asks why this is picking up hype, it’s simple. For a franchise that has lived exclusively on consoles since MLB 06: The Show, seeing the MLB The Show name show up on mobile screens feels nice.
MLB The Show features over 1,000 player cards, 30 MLB stadiums, and full gameplay control
From the house of San Diego Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment, it is safe to say that the mobile version itself is packed. As for players, over a thousand player cards will be available, alongside legends like Ken Griffey Jr., Hank Aaron, and Mickey Mantle.
As for the gameplay side of things, there’s more. We will get full batting, pitching, and fielding controls, 30 MLB stadiums with 16,000+ animations. There’s also a new Momentum system for strategy and real-time runner decisions.

As for the game modes, we get best-of-3 PvP alongside a mode to test out iconic MLB Moments. Progression features include daily events and limited-time events, Show Pass, and a full marketplace for trading cards.
Although this drop comes as a pleasant surprise, the work on the mobile version actually began in 2022. The hint originated from recruitment listings during the MLB The Show 22 era, where job descriptions suggested that the game might be ported to mobile, as part of Sony’s efforts to enter the mobile gaming market.
Last year, Sony started signaling a bigger mobile push, exploring free-to-play ideas and suggesting that some classic PlayStation franchises could come to phones. With MLB The Show now mobile, this direction seems to be on the right track.
For now, the soft launch appears to be limited to the Philippines. For sure, the global release is expected to arrive soon. Until then, get your hands on the title via the Google Play Store and App Store on your Android and iOS devices, respectively.
