South Korea Police raided Dynamis One headquarters over allegations of a leak of undisclosed NEXON Games project

South Korean studio, Dynamis One, founded by former Nexon Games staff, is being raided by the Police for allegedly leaking development materials from an undisclosed Nexon Games project.

The raid took place on February 24, 2025, with the Police seizing evidence that big officials had illegally exported the materials from the Studio’s headquarters.

According to a report by ChosunBiz, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency’s Industrial Technology Security Investigation Unit recently raided the headquarters of Dynamis One in Seocho-gu, Seoul, seizing evidence and related materials.

Dynamis One is a South Korean game company founded by former core developers from Nexon Games who contributed to the creation of the anime-style RPG, Blue Archive. It was established in April 2024, by CEO Park Byeong-rim, Scenario Writer Yang Joo-young, Art Director Kim In, and others.

In September of the same year, they unveiled Project KV, a nostalgia-themed school action title. However, it faced major backlash for its major similarities to Blue Archive, including its world-building, art style, and visuals, and was canceled just a week later.

Regarding the ongoing investigation, police have gathered evidence suggesting key officials have illegally exported development materials for an undisclosed project, MX Blade, which was being developed at Nexon Games’ MX Studio around 2021, during their departure from the company.

CEO Park and other key figures who were involved in developing the game while working at Nexon Games and have been accused of systematically leaking crucial information about the project before leaving the company.

Reports suggest they intended to use this information to develop games at their new studio. They now face charges under the Unfair Competition Prevention Act. Moreover, evidence reveals that Dynamis One devs planned to harm the future development and service of Blue Archive for their project’s success.

In response, Nexon Games stated, “This incident is a serious crime that undermines the foundations of the game development environment.” The company has pledged full cooperation with the police investigation to ensure strict accountability and has announced plans to enhance internal security.
