- The game appears to mix elements from multiple Supercell games, while adding a twist of its own.
- The first alpha test signups are now live, allowing players to experience Boat Game early.
Supercell really decided to give us a little surprise with this one, didn’t they? Well, this Wednesday out of nowhere, Supercell has introduced a brand new title in Boat Game, which has boats sailing, some action, island exploring, and more aspects showcased, which definitely piqued our interest. With an alpha planned, you can now register to play Boat Game early.
Details about Boat Game surfaced back in 2024 as a third-person shooter project
While the name might seem straightforward, the game itself looks anything but ordinary. I bet even you will say the same if you look at the alpha trailer video released by the team. Also, it was quite random, as the Community Manager Frame just dropped the link to the trailer via his official X account.

If you remember, back in May last year, I mentioned that Supercell was working on a third-person shooter, and it was codenamed “boatgame” at the time. There were also job openings for this new project, and seemingly everything was in place.
I believe many have several things to say about what exactly this game is and how it might be, but my share of things is here. Yes, there are boats fighting in the footage, so you’d think it’s all about sea battles, right? Well, not quite. One moment, you’re sailing, and the next, your characters are on an island, engaging in shootouts.
From what I can see, there’s a mix of inspiration from multiple games here, like Boom Beach gameplay, art style resembling the upcoming monster-hunting action RPG mo.co and also animation sprinkled from Squad Busters. The visuals, even though little, are very promising.
Overall, there are a lot of questions still. What will be the core gameplay? Will it be PvP naval battles? Treasure hunting? Or remove all players from the island or stand tall? I can’t answer them. But what I can is that there’s the first alpha test signup now live for Boat Game, and you can register to test it early.
