NetEase Games’ upcoming stand-alone Xianxia RPG, Sword Heart: Carved Dragon (also translated to Sword Heart and Carving Dragon) is set to expand beyond its initial plans. The game will arrive on Mobile while also on a couple of other platforms, while the specific details such as release or global version are under wraps still.
Sword Heart: Carved Dragon promises a new world, a fresh story, and a unique combat system
The game’s producer, known as “Gongchangjun,” (as per translation) recently posted an image featuring platform logos for Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch 2, and Harmony OS. While there’s no official confirmation, this strongly hints that the game could eventually launch on these platforms.
According to the same post, the game will be a standalone Xianxia RPG with a completely new world, fresh story, and an immersive sword-fighting experience. For those who do not know, Xianxia is a Chinese fantasy genre. The name itself represents themes of perseverance and nostalgia, highlighting the journey of a swordsman.

In addition, the team is said to be working hard to bring new features to the game, including motion capture, full voice acting, and a unique combat system. To back it up, no gameplay visuals are currently available now apart from a few key arts. While the development process has been challenging, they hope the game will help push Chinese RPGs forward and offer a fresh experience for us.
I’m not sure at the time of writing if this will hit global screens, but China’s release is expected in 2025. Current updates for the game are that it is open for pre-registration in the region, although the game might have a couple of tests before a full-fledged launch. I will be updating this space if any new info arrives, so stay tuned.
