Tank Company: NetEase announced a 15v15 tank battle game for mobile

Currently in Open Beta for specific regions

NetEase, the popular game developers of games like Life After, Lost Light, Badlanders, and other mobile games recently announced the release of Tank Company, a 15v15 full-fledged tank battle game. NetEase launched the website for the upcoming Massively Multiplayer Online (MMO) game which has entered Open Beta testing in specific regions starting from the fourth of this month.

Lead your squadron into battle in Tank Company

The game has five different types of military vehicles including tanks that are actually directly based on real-life tanks operated during the Second World War and heavy lethal machinery on large maps. It has great graphics, especially on higher settings, and has a lot of cool-looking gameplay mechanics. Currently, players can even get two tanks- the KV-1 Pioneer and the ASU-85 as rewards for being a part of the open beta.

Beta testing in specific regions on Android

At present, players in Sweden, Finland, or Belarus can try out the game on Android devices (Open Beta Testing is NOT open to iOS devices) and it can be downloaded from the Google Play Store if they meet the basic requirements which are as follows:

  • Android 7.0 or higher
  • ARM 64 system
  • 4 GB RAM
  • Qualcomm 660 and above (Processor)
  • Kirin 960 and above (GPU)

The game is also somewhat heavy since the official website mentions that players need to have more than 6 gigabytes of available storage on their device. But considering how good the game looks and plays, that’s justified.

Currently, there are two servers available, the EU server and the CIS server. While profile data can’t be shared between those two and while there’s no end scheduled for the open beta yet, players will be informed 7 days before it does end. Since the game is free with in-app purchases, in case a player’s account is deleted they’ll receive a refund of their purchases. Although if it isn’t, they’ll get some extra incentive in the in-game currency for spending money.

When will Tank Company release

Currently, the game is in open beta in certain regions. In case you aren’t able to play the open beta because you aren’t in the three specific regions mentioned, you can pre-register on their website with your country, device OS, and email address. The game looks pretty promising and while there is no release date yet, the game going into open beta signifies that release may not be too far.
