Yesterday, the Official Teamfight Tactics twitter account reminded all players with an important post from last Friday. This was about on the Little Legends to be re-classified to Legendary Status in Teamfight Tactics, coming with the new patch update. However, these Pass exclusive little legends will get expensive to upgrade, hence it would be safe to upgrade them right now. This will be from the Patch 10.21 update, and players would have to spend Star Shards from then.
About Little Legends in Teamfight Tactics
Little Legends are those creatures that you can use as avatars of the player in the Teamfight Tactics game mode. Additionally, a player’s Little Legend will follow their champion on the Howling Abyss. All players have the River Sprite as their default Little Legend.
Why Little Legends will cost more in game
The change is due to changes in Little Legends rarity to Legendary instead of Rare, thus increasing to its price to upgrade from 100-star shards to 150. Rioter whatacoolwitch explains that the change is based upon Riot promise that Pass-exclusive legends would be Legendary units. So it would demand more from your time and money to upgrade them.
However, since the announcement came between patches, Riot is giving all players a chance. Until Patch 10.21 arrives (that is Wednesday 14) the price will remain the same, giving players more time. If you somehow end up paying 150 shards for an upgrade, 50 shards will be refunded. It is a great time to remind you that Sprites that come with the pass such as UFO or Jade Emperor do not upgrade.
Make sure to check our site and Riot support articles, so you don’t miss a thing. Sometimes they sneak information out of nowhere and you gotta have a keen eye. Just like the mid-patch changes they rolled out also yesterday, more on that here.
