- The Case of the Golden Idol is a point-and-click detective adventure that lets you investigate and think freely.
- You can try two cases for free, and with a single purchase unlock all 12 scenarios, 6 bonus cases, and all full expansions.
Playstack has announced the relaunch of their point-and-click detective adventure title, The Case of the Golden Idol, now available on both Android and iOS. The game was previously released by Netflix Games in June 2024, but it was slashed along with 21 other titles in July 2025.
Investigate crime scenes filled with hidden clues and solve intricate puzzles
Both The Case of the Golden Idol and The Rise of the Golden Idol were previously available via Netflix Games before being removed. Now the first one is finally back, letting you play as the 18th century detective once again. You can investigate 12 strange deaths spread across 50 years, all somehow connected.
This one offers a fresh take on detective work where you can closely inspect crimes scenes, examine hidden clues, and follow each case to its shocking conclusion. And, it’s actually satisfying to solve the intricate puzzles while using the power of deduction to figure out each suspect, motive, and even the murder weapon.
Honestly, I missed it the first time around, so this return makes me want to experience its dark story and puzzles, along with the unique caricature-style art, and even access to expansions The Spider of Lanka and The Lemurian Vampire. You can purchase the full experience if you want to find the truth behind the Idol’s powers.
The Case of the Golden Idol is now available on both Android and iOS thanks to the relaunch. So, you can now download the game via the respective Google Play Store or App Store. The best thing about this is you can try two of cases for free and opt to get the full experience for all 12 scenarios and 6 bonus cases.
