Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.0 update brings Planet Planarcadia, free limited 5-Star, new characters Sparxie, Yao Guang, and more on February 13, 2026

HoYoverse is gearing up to release Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.0 update, titled “No Aha at Full Moon“, on February 13th, 2026.  This update promises a wave of content for you, with two new 5-star characters, a free limited 5-Star, new skins for Ruan Mei, QoL changes, and a brand new collaboration announced.

Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.0: New Map and Story Updates

The Astral Express will head over to Planarcadia, an urban destination with cyberpunk vibes. This world is ruled by all kinds of entertainment and games, and even conflicts are resolved through games. Most of the people of Planarcadia follow the path of Elation. Planarcadia is Himeko’s home world, where she lived 15 years ago. We will meet with Silver Wolf and Blade again.

New Playable Characters in HSR Version 4.0

Yao Guang

Now, Yao Guang is a physical support character who follows the path of Elation in Honkai: Star Rail. She is designed to be a core enabler for future Elation-based teams. She focused on stabilizing skill-point-heavy rotation. If you are planning to pull Yao Guang, read our Yao Guang Pre-Farm Guide.

Sparxie

So, Sparxie is a main DPS Fire character who follows the path of Elation. She consumes multiple skill points for massive burst damage. Her kit synergizes perfectly with Yao Guang. Free Limited 5-Star Skin

After Version 4.0 launches and before Version 4.2 ends, log in to the game and choose a free, limited 5* character from Jing Yuan, Kafka, Dan Heng Imbibitor Lunae, Jingliu,Acheron, and Aventurine.

A Flip Of Fortune

After the Version 4.0 update, we can flip over one of Madam Yao’s Fortune slips every day and can receive a fixed amount of Stellar Jade reward, up to a total of 1600 Stellar Jades. There is also a tiny chance to obtain 100 Star Rail Premium Pass.

Gift of Arcadia

The Gift of Arcadia will give away 10 Star Rail Premium Passes, 3 Self-Modeling Resin, and 600 Lone Stardust for simply logging into the game during the update.

Free Outfit

During Version 4.0, you can log in to the game to claim Ruan Mei’s new outfit “Plumblossom Letter” for free.

Gift of Odyssey

After the Version 4.0 update goes live, you can log in daily for 7-days to claim the 10 Star Rail Pass.

Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.0: QoL changes

We will get some nice Quality of Life changes in Version 4.0. Here are those changes:

Returner Experience Optimization

• Trailblaze mission early access.
• Some stages of difficulty will be reduced.
• Returner players can get a full golden rarity suitable relic set.
• Bonus advanced trace materials.

Assignment System Optimization

Starting from Version 4.0. We can claim rewards and dispatch Assignments at any time. There are no longer fixed time limits or character restrictions.

Preview for Unactivated Relic Stats

Starting from Version 4.0, all Relics will display their unactivated stat affixes directly.

Lineup System Optimization

It will be much more convenient for players when using support characters from a friend.

Phonograph Optimization

From Version 4.0, The Phonograph in the car will also feature some new white noise tracks.

Honkai: Star Rail x Fortnite Collaboration

One week ago, Epic Games teased a new Honkai: Star Rail collaboration coming to Fortnite. Honkai: Star Rail characters Kafka and Blade are teased in the picture, and now HoYoverse has also officially announced the collaboration in today’s Honkai: Star Rail Version 4.0 Livestream with its release date.

This collab will start on February 26, 2026 and Stellaron Hunters Kafka and Blade are dropping into Fortnite for a limited time. To participate in this event, you’ve to join the Honkai: Star Rail top-up event in Epic Games Store. Eligible players will receive the “Blade” outfit in Fortnite as a bonus.
