Devs confirm shutdown in early 2026 after reviewing operational status and future direction
You’ve probably heard about Tokyo Revengers: Last Mission, since it is based on such a popular anime. If not, this is a 3D ARPG set in a realistic Shibuya, where you can explore iconic spots, meet familiar characters, and also experience the main story all over again with full voice acting and 3D visuals.
Unfortunately, the Tokyo Revengers Last Mission Team announced via X (formerly known as Twitter) that the game would shut down in January 2026, stating, “After careful consideration based on the current operational status and future policies, we plan to end service for this title.“
Players can request refunds for their unused paid currency after EOS
Following the announcement, the team has disabled all in-app purchases, and is even offering you a refund for your unused paid currency, though you’ve to wait until the EOS date to request it. That said, you can still enjoy your last moments until January 21, 2026, so have a good time.
Being a fan of the anime, I feel disappointed that we never got a global version of this game. And many fans feel the same way, with one stating, “I had a feeling… but hearing it said again like that hits hard. On the other hand, some gacha fans are saying, “I’m surprised these quick ‘ip cash grabs’ actually make money.”
