The mobile gaming scene showed no signs of cooling down in August 2025, with some of the biggest titles maintaining their dominance while a few familiar names climbed back into the spotlight.
Compared to July, the month featured a mix of stability at the very top and some reshuffling across the middle and lower half of the chart. Let’s take a closer look at which games brought in the most revenue this August.
Top Mobile Games by Downloads for August 2025
After climbing to #1 last month, Roblox held onto its lead with over 38.3 million downloads, proving once again why it is one of the most unstoppable forces in mobile gaming. Block Blast! remained steady in second place with 22 million downloads, followed by the evergreen Subway Surfers at third with 17.4 million.
Pizza Ready! grabbed fourth with 14.8 million, while long-time favorite Ludo King secured fifth with 14.4 million. Outfit7‘s latest My Talking Tom Friends 2 continued its strong run in sixth, and Garena’s hit battle royale Free Fire came in seventh with nearly 13 million downloads.

Royal Kingdom stayed at eighth, while Hole.io surged to ninth with 11.7 million, showing hyper-casual titles still draw massive attention. Rounding out the top 15 were Vita Mahjong and Tile Explorer – Triple Match, both around the 11 million mark.
With classics like Candy Crush Saga and Free Fire MAX taking 12th and 13th, new entry FPS Strike Ops debuted strongly at 14th with 10.2 million downloads, while PUBG Mobile held 15th with 9.5 million.
Top Mobile Games by Revenue for August 2025
Honor of Kings maintained its iron grip on the charts, topping revenue with $169.9 million, while the big surprise of the month was Roblox, which surged to second place with $157.7 million, cementing its place as a powerhouse in both downloads and revenue.
PUBG Mobile also had a big month, climbing up to third place and taking third with $129.1 million. Last War: Survival and Whiteout Survival followed close behind at fourth and fifth with $122.8 million and $120.5 million, respectively.

Royal Match stayed steady in sixth with $114.5 million, while MONOPOLY GO! brought in nearly $100 million at seventh. Candy Crush Saga continued its unmatched longevity at eighth with $89.8 million. Further down the list, Pokémon GO climbed back to ninth with $69.9 million, followed by Clash Royale at tenth with $67.4 million.
Kingshot held firm at 11th, while Fate/Grand Order rejoined the top earners at 12th with $53.6 million. Pokémon TCG Pocket and Gossip Harbor: Merge & Story both stayed strong with just over $51 million, and Coin Master closed the list at 15th with $50.2 million.
