- Tower of Fantasy announces the Warped Server for China, launching this August 2025.
- With a full MMO focus, the server removes all gacha systems with several new features.
Perfect World Games‘ hit open-world MMORPG Tower of Fantasy is introducing the “Warped Server” in China this August 2025. In what the developers call a “challenging adventure,” the new server aims to recreate the core experience of a traditional MMO, where players can trade, explore, and progress simply by playing, without relying on gacha mechanics.
Unlock weapons, cosmetics, and items, all for free, without spending in the ToF Warped Server
One of the biggest changes is the complete removal of the gacha system. All weapons, yes, even the powerful and popular ones, will be free. You’ll get six strong weapons from the start, with more unlockables available through daily logins. Even premium cosmetics and mounts will be earned through gameplay, not pulls.
Next up, Trading is making a comeback. You’ll be able to exchange cosmetics, matrices, and materials with other players using a new dual-market system. We will have Trade House for everyday swaps, and Auction House for bigger, world-level trades.
To keep things fresh, Warped Server will have seasonal resets. Gear and power will rotate, helping new players catch up and giving everyone a reason to return. Multiplayer content is also receiving better rewards, encouraging co-op play.
Tower of Fantasy is also adding new social and guild features in the Warped Server. Guilds will have customizable bases for players to gather and organize events. Co-op activities like dances, parades, recruitment boards, and gifting systems are also being introduced.
During boss fights, you can now trigger Team Ultimate Skills by meeting special conditions, creating cinematic combo attacks alongside that. However, even though this is a major change, note that the Warped Server isn’t replacing the main or Reboot servers.
Warped Servers is a new experiment, built for players who want a real MMO without paywalls. Starting August 2025, you’ll also be invited to shape this world with your feedback through the Warped Server Co-Creation Plan. The date is not confirmed yet, so Chinese players, stay tuned for updates.
