Why Talking Tom Friends 2 Holiday Update feels like a reunion for fans

There’s something special about holiday updates in games. They’re cozy, festive, and fun, but this one feels different. When I opened My Talking Tom Friends 2 after the latest update, it wasn’t just the snow, lights or decorations that stood out. It was the feeling that the family was finally complete.

You ask me why? Well, something that screams “orange” is the answer. Yes, the request that we fans have been sharing is finally live: Talking Ginger has officially joined the neighbourhood. This is indeed a reunion, and not just that, there’s a lot more to enjoy, and now, we have a bigger gang.

Talking Ginger is here to celebrate the holidays in Talking Tom Friends 2

If you’ve played previous Talking Tom games, you’ll understand why this has been hyped up. Ginger has been around since 2012 and has always been one of the series’ most recognisable, energetic characters, appearing in My Talking Tom Friends, Talking Tom Hero Dash, and Talking Tom Gold Run.

So I did have my side of thinking if Ginger is here temporarily, but well, it isn’t the case. He’s moved in properly to the neighbourhood with the other friends. His house fits his personality perfectly: bright and cheerful, and being orange, expect it to be chaotic like him. 

Spending time in his space feels fun because there’s always something new to mess with or react to. Now that he’s running around with Tom, Angela, Ben, Hank, and Becca, the game finally feels complete, something we’ve waited for since the game’s launch in July this year.

I also think this was the right time, and it actually makes the best sense. Christmas is the time we are on our holidays, we join and have fun, and the same is in the Talking Tom neighbourhood, which looks completely different now. 

The snow-filled world adds to the excitement with a new mini-game

The neighbourhood has been covered in snow. Everywhere you move, there are exciting details, such as the lights and decorations, cheerful snowmen, the frozen fountain that has been transformed into an ice-skating rink, and the slide-racing minigame, now available at the waterpark.

And yes, the outfits and food shouldn’t be forgotten during the holiday season. There’s the usual seasonal lineup: Santa hats, elf outfits, reindeer antlers, and the classic holiday sweater, which they call ugly, but hey, it keeps us warm and cute.

Add Christmas treats like cookies, gingerbread houses, and warm festive food, and it just feels like the perfect winter hangout. This celebration even extends to other games from the universe, so Ginger’s arrival and holiday celebrations are on!

If I were to view this update overall, I’m very much liking how My Talking Tom Friends 2 is bringing amazing events for us to enjoy. Its first major update, which was the Halloween update, had so much packed in, and the Holiday update is taking things to a level higher. For sure, more exciting plans await us.
