New skins, champions, and more

Riot Games just released a preview of the upcoming Wild Rift 4.0 patch update, which includes the introduction of new champions, and skins, major gameplay changes, return of modes, map changes, new events, and many more. A new Lunar New Year event is also bringing new skins to the game. Riot Games is also bringing in new tank items, as well as some changes in the game and map system of League of Legends Wild Rift.

Wild Rift patch 4.0 update: Gameplay changes

Inhibitor respawn and turret-burning mechanics

Inhibitors will be included in the game to prevent matches from becoming too one-sided. This feature was formerly available in the PC version of League of Legends. After being destroyed, the Inhibitors will continue to respawn for a little period. However, these towers will not engage in combat with the other side; their only purpose is to defend the base.

As soon as the players reach the latter stages of the game, the towers will start to burn and eventually fall. The addition of this technique has the purpose of encouraging players to push the enemy bases deeper, ultimately resulting in a more challenging game.

Wild Rift patch 4.0 update: Item changes

  • Dawnshroud: Dawnshroud’s passive ability does damage to surrounding enemy champions and reveals their locations if a player immobilizes a champion. This effect will still take place even if the player is immobilized.
  • Randuin’s Omen Rework: Stacks will be awarded to players whenever they take damage from a critical strike. They may attack a champion to clear the stacks and then heal themselves depending on the damage they sustained from the hit. This replaces one of the item’s older passive properties, which formerly decreased damage taken from any and all critical hits.
  • Frozen Heart Rework: Chill stacks are applied to the opponent champion for a period of five seconds if the players or nearby allies are dealt basic attacks or magical damage. This includes damage delivered by basic attacks and spells. The enemy’s attack speed is reduced by an amount equal to a cap for each stack of Chill.

Wild Rift patch 4.0 update: ARURF returns

Wild Rift will soon include the return of the All Random Ultra Rapid Fire Mode. In addition to that, a new ability for junglers called Execute Smite is going to be added. Smite will no longer function as a normal button that the player must push; instead, it will transform into an active ability that automatically kills monsters when their health falls below a set threshold. On top of that, the cooldown for Smite has been removed entirely.

Wild Rift patch 4.0 update: Lunar New Year event and new skins

The Lunar New Year will be commemorated on the map with special effects thanks to the Lunar Year event, such as lanterns and fireworks. Wild Rift is getting several new skin sets, including PROJECT: SURGE, skins commemorating the Lunar New Year, and skins inspired by Battle Academia.

Here is a complete list of new skins:

  • Mythmaker Caitlyn
  • Mythmaker Zoe
  • Mythmaker Seraphine
  • Mythmaker Gwen
  • Mythmaker Caitlyn Special Edition
  • Dragon Fist Lee Sin
  • Firecracker Vayne
  • PROJECT Lucian

Wild Rift patch 4.0 update: Ranked season and Wild Pass

Following the release of this patch, the eighth season of Wild Rift will become available. Players may begin competing in ranked games to work toward acquiring their own Glorious Crimson Nami. Aside from that, players may get Weapon Augment Upgrades from the Ranked Store and gain additional prizes from the Season Rewards page.

The new pass for Wild Rift has arrived, and with it, players can get a new Graves skin called Supervillain Graves. In addition, players can get Ascended skin from the Wild Pass Emporium.
