Genshin Impact: A Kaveh Glitch is reportedly deleting in-game content permanently in Co-op

A curious glitch in the game!

Reportedly, a bug referred to as the Kaveh Glitch or Hack within the popular adventure RPG Genshin Impact is causing the irreversible removal of in-game content while playing in co-op mode. With a recent Fontaine update rolled out in the game, players are more excited in the game than ever. This mishappening has come out at absolutely the worst time possible and will see players getting affected largely.

Many players have been sharing their experiences of the Genshin Impact Kaveh Glitch

In Genshin Impact, Kaveh is a 4* character that was released in the second half of Genshin Impact Version 3.6. He is the first claymore-wielding Dendro character who gets a Dendro infusion with his burst. Because of this, he can be used in any team that needs an on-field Dendro character. However, a glitch has been reported which has made his usefulness a question.

As per reports, this concern was brought into the spotlight through a series of video clips that were shared across different social media platforms. In one Twitter video, a player utilizing the character Kaveh showcased the glitch by using the character’s Elemental skill on a Geo Elemental Monument.

This resulted in the permanent disappearance of the object from the co-op world of the Genshin Impact player. Another video depicted a player employing Kaveh’s Elemental Burst on a Petrified Tree in a Domain, once again leading to the permanent deletion of the object.

The glitch is also helping hackers erase interactive objects in co-op

What’s more threatening is that reportedly permits hackers to employ third-party software to erase interactive objects within the co-op world, such as Elemental Totems and Statues of the Seven. This potential exploit leads to the irreversible removal of these objects. Those who’ve faced this issue have shared that even after reinstalling the game, they were unable to reinstate the deleted objects.

HoYoverse finally responded on the 28th of August, 2023, issuing a statement saying that this glitch/ hack was used by players through a vicious plug-in in the game. They have fixed the issues from the 26th of August, 2023 and players must not fear now accepting co-op invites. They have also issued a notification to players to fix it through Genshin Impact customer service. If items are not restored, Travelers should not fear, as the permanent solution could roll-out in a future update, where the items should be returned.

Developers have also stated that they have banned the accounts who were using their malicious plug-ins aiming to steal data and affect gameplay experience. This is a welcome move by the publishers, to maintain a strict fair play of conduct. Players can now seamlessly enjoy the experience of the game, without fearing of losing out on items and other activities.
