Free Fire has concluded its qualifier event for the Esports World Cup (EWC) 2024. As the Free Fire World Series (FFWS) LATAM 2024 Split 1 ends its run, 19esports becomes the champion. With 135 total points, the team overpowered all to reach the top. All Glory Gaming pocketed the runner-up trophy. The $100,000 esports event has three slots for the teams, and the top three grabbed them.
The event started on the 22nd of March 2024 with 18 total teams. The top 12, after the end of the Regular Phase, qualified for the grand finals. Free Fire World Series (FFWS) LATAM 2024 Split 1 is the first split of the two in a year.
FFWS LATAM 2024 Split 1 champion dominated the whole event
Upon entering the event, the teams went through the Regular Phase for 7 weeks of battle. 19esports was positioned at the 4th to end the battle and placed them in the grand finals. Vice-versa happened for AMG E-Sport as the team was the regular phase winner but finished at 4th after the grand finals.
However, as the event started its grand final with the 12 teams, a total of 8 rounds were played. Champion 19esports did enough to keep them in the top place. They came up as the winner in the starting round. AMG took the next round but the champion was the second-placed team.
Continuing the momentum in the rest of the matches, the FFWS LATAM 2024 Split 1 champion gathered 135 points while the runner-up All Glory Gaming stopped at 118. RETA Esports collected 115, thus, the team was in the top three.
19esports took the major share, and the top three qualified for the EWC 2024
The event of Free Fire World Series (FFWS) LATAM 2024 Split 1 featured a total of $100,000 as the prize pool. The highest share, $17,000, went to the champion’s pocket while $7,700 and $3,500 were taken by the other two teams in the top three positions. Apart from that, the top three confirmed their slots in the upcoming EWC 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Teams were also awarded for their positions after the regular phase.
After the end of the event, now is the time to keep an eye on the next one. The biggest event of esports is waiting in Riyadh. The qualified three from the FFWS LATAM 2024 Split 1 will carry the hope for the fans. It will be interesting to watch how the teams perform.
