PMPL Pakistan Spring 2022: An event full of dramatic moments
The team’s consistency worked as a boost on their run to the trophy. Surprisingly, champion 52xRage couldn’t take a single match home. Moreover, the team is not even in the top five by kills. Runner-up Team TUF forgot to pick up some placement points but didn’t forget to take kills.
The team gathered a whopping 92 elimination points, the highest among all. Group stage champion and one of the hot favorites, SALTxi8 Esports, kept a balance in scoring both placement & frags. Thus, they managed to collect 172 total points, a single point lead from the fourth-placed, The Grounders.
The whole event provided madness, drama, and unpredictability throughout its run. The Grounders barely made their entry to the finals. Yet, they emerged as the top four. Besides, they took the highest number of WWCD, four in total.
Winning the event, 52xRage Esports took $10,166 home while the second and the third teams took $8,713 & $8,713, respectively. With 29 kills and 7037 damage, Crypto from SALTxi8 Esports once again proved his worth and bagged the MVP award. He was awarded $968.
