Tournament set to take the esports community by storm!

Great news for Free Fire fans in Brazil as the biggest tournament in the country, series of the Brazilian Free Fire League (LBFF) is returning for its Season 3 on the 5th of February, 2022. The tournament is set to be conducted in two stages with the winners qualifying for the Free fire world series. Read on to know all the details about this upcoming mega tournament.

Brazilian Free Fire League (LBFF) Season 3: Format

The format for the first stage of the tournament, which begins in early February has not been clearly defined yet. However, it has been confirmed that there will be three groups of teams. There are said to be a total of 3 matches per week on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. The final is said to take place on the 16th of April, 2022. Here is the official split-up of the teams into the three groups of A, B, and C.

Schedule

The first stage of the Brazilian Free Fire league kicks off on Saturday, 5th of February 2022. On the days of Saturday and Sunday, matches will start at 1 PM Brazil time. On Mondays, matches will start at 8 PM Brazil time. The timings have clearly been placed, in order to gain maximum viewership from the Brazilian public. The final is said to take place on the 16th of April, 2022.

Brazilian Free Fire League Season 3: Prize Pool

The total prize pool of LBFF is a whopping 2 million Brazilian Real, with each stage having a maximum cash award of 750,000 Brazilian Real, each for the winner. The 2nd and 3rd placed teams will receive 85,000 and 75,000 Brazilian Real respectively. The remaining teams will receive around 53,333 Brazilian Real each. With such a huge amount of cash on the line, one can certainly presume that the stakes and pressure at the event will be extremely high.

Brazilian Free Fire League (LBFF) Season 3: Where to watch

The big news is that this year’s edition of LBFF will be broadcast on the Open TV network, in addition to Garena’s official channels. The two TV channels telecasting the event will be RedeTV and SPACE. Moreover, the two stages of the event will have a new set of presenters. Popular names such as Samuca, Carlos, and Croft are expected to grace the event and add an extra layer of glitz to the affair.
