Clash Royale Season 84 “Stone Cold” June 2026 Update and Balance Changes

Story Highlights
  • Clash Royale Season 84 “Stone Cold” arrives in June 2026 with Princess Evolution and Hero Tombstone.
  • June’s balance update nerfs several Evolutions, Heroes, and spell Crown Tower damage.

The summer’s all gone as Supercell’s Clash Royale brings the June 2026 update with Season 84 titled Stone Cold, bringing a new Evolution, a new Hero, seasonal events, and a massive balance update. The season also continues the recent mix of Heroes and Evolutions, this time featuring Princess Evolution and Hero Tombstone, as revealed earlier. Here’s a complete breakdown of everything coming with Clash Royale Season 84.

Clash Royale Season 84 “Stone Cold” June 2026 Overview

New Evolution: Princess

Princess receives her Evolution in Season 84, introducing the new Ice Arrows ability. Every first and third attack after that fires an icy arrow that slows enemies in an area. These attacks also leave behind a frozen zone that slows troops moving through it. The slowdown effect impacts movement speed, hit speed, and spawn speed.

The Evolution also adds a death effect, where Princess leaves behind another slowing ice field after being defeated. Princess Evolution requires 2 cycles, meaning one in every three deployments will be evolved. It becomes available from the start of the season through Pass Royale or Evolution Shards.

New Hero Tombstone

Hero Tombstone arrives as the season’s new Hero with the ability Regal Revival. When activated, the Tombstone transforms into the Tomb Queen, a tanky ground unit that targets buildings while continuously spawning Skeletons around her.

The Hero ability costs 6 Elixir, making it one of the most expensive Hero abilities released so far. Once transformed, the Tomb Queen periodically spawns Skeletons and also releases additional Skeletons on defeat.

Unlike recent Heroes, Hero Tombstone is not part of Pass Royale. Instead, it can be unlocked for free through the Undead Bazaar event, which functions similarly to the Festival Market from the previous season.

Free and Diamond Pass Royale Overview

Season 84 continues Clash Royale’s two-track Pass Royale system, splitting rewards between the Free Pass and Diamond Pass depending on progression and Arena level.

For players below Arena 15, the Free Pass continues to focus on progression rewards such as Gold, Wild Cards, Boost Potions, and Lucky Chests. Once you reach Arena 15, the Diamond Pass unlocks premium cosmetics, seasonal rewards, and access to Princess Evolution.

Balance Changes for June 2026 in Clash Royale

The June balance update brings major nerfs to Heroes and Evolutions, compared to the buffs where there are some notable ones.

Nerfs

Hero Balloon

  • Skeletrooper Landing Damage: 307 → 263 (-14%)

Hero Balloon’s Skeletroopers were too effective at clearing medium-health support troops after landing. This reduction means certain troops now survive an extra hit.

Hero Bowler

  • Ability Duration: 9s → 7.3s (-19%)

Hero Bowler was getting too much value during Siege Mode. The shorter duration reduces the number of long-range shots he can fire during a single activation.

Hero Dark Prince

  • Deploy Time: 2s → 1s (-50%)
  • Tiles Needed for First Charge: 0 → 2.5 tiles
  • Rhino Crown Tower Spawn Damage: 307 → 0 (-100%)

Hero Dark Prince receives a rework to fix interactions with the Rhino charge mechanic. The Rhino will no longer guarantee free Crown Tower damage immediately after spawning.

Inferno Dragon Evolution

  • Charge Duration: 9s → 7s (-22%)

Evolved Inferno Dragon was carrying too much pressure from defense into offense. The reduced charge duration lowers its ability to snowball pushes.

Lumberjack Evolution

  • Crown Tower Damage: 256 → 128 (-50%)

While Lumberjack Evolution remains strong defensively, its Ghost form was dealing too much unavoidable tower damage. This nerf targets offensive pressure specifically.

Mortar Evolution

  • Deploy Time: 0.2s → 0.5s (+150%)

The Goblins launched from Evolved Mortar were nearly impossible to stop before reaching towers. Increasing the deploy time gives defenders more reaction time.

Mega Knight Evolution

  • Heavy Troop Knockback: 4 tiles → 2.5 tiles (-38%)

Evolved Mega Knight was shutting down heavy win conditions too easily. Reduced knockback gives tanks and melee troops a better chance to push through.

Furnace

  • Range: 6 tiles → 5.5 tiles (-8%)

Furnace’s long attack range made it frustrating to deal with safely. This change forces it into slightly riskier positioning.

Graveyard

  • Skeleton Count: 13 → 12 (-8%)

After its recent rework, Graveyard became too reliable at guaranteeing tower damage. Removing one Skeleton tones down the consistency.

Rascals (Boy)

  • Hitpoints: 1940 → 1832 (-6%)

The latest buff made Rascal Boy slightly too durable. This HP reduction keeps the card from becoming overly difficult to break through.

Tesla

  • Lifetime: 30s → 25s (-17%)
  • Hitpoints: 1152 → 1182 (+3%)

Tesla often stayed active for too long thanks to its underground mechanic. The shorter lifetime reduces defensive stalling, while the HP buff keeps it durable during active combat.

Crown Tower Damage Reduction for Spells

Several spells receive blanket Crown Tower damage reductions to reduce passive spell-cycle strategies and encourage more direct offensive gameplay.

  • Arrows: 93 → 75 (-19%)
  • Earthquake: 159 → 147 (-8%)
  • Fireball: 207 → 172 (-17%)
  • Freeze: 45 → 37 (-18%)
  • Giant Snowball: 54 → 45 (-17%)
  • Lightning: 286 → 265 (-7%)
  • Poison: 184 → 168 (-9%)
  • Rage: 54 → 45 (-17%)
  • Rocket: 371 → 343 (-8%)
  • The Log: 41 → 37 (-15%)
  • Vines: 76 → 70 (-8%)
  • Zap: 58 → 48 (-17%)

Buffs

Dart Goblin Evolution

  • Poison Damage Stage 1: 51 → 64 (+25%)
  • Poison Damage Stage 2: 115 → 128 (+11%)

The previous nerf hit Evolved Dart Goblin slightly too hard. These buffs restore some of his poison pressure without fully bringing back his crowd-control dominance.

Electro Dragon

  • Hitpoints: 998 → 1049 (+5%)

Electro Dragon has struggled with survivability for a 5-Elixir card. The HP increase helps it survive smaller spell combinations more reliably.

Goblin Giant

  • Hitpoints: 3020 → 3110 (+3%)

Goblin Giant receives a partial revert to an earlier nerf, slightly improving its frontline durability.

Rune Giant

  • Damage: 120 → 153 (+28%)

Rune Giant gains a sizeable damage increase, helping her become more threatening against buildings and Crown Towers.
