Cloud9 has announced its Wild Rift roster

Another giant just joined the party!

Cloud9, the highly popular North America-based esports organization, has announced its entry into the Wild Rift esports scene by announcing its Wild Rift roster. The announcement came just a day before the NA Regional Championship 2021, also known as the Wild Rift Summoner Series Finals 2021, taking place. This offline event is all slated to take place in Denver, United States.

Founded in 2013, Cloud9 is one of the most reputed esports organizations in the world. The organization was ranked the world’s second-most valuable esports organization in 2020. Currently, the organization has expanded into mobile and OC titles including the likes of Chess, Fortnite, Halo, Hearthstone, Rainbow Six Siege, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Teamfight Tactics, Valorant, and World of Warcraft.

With Donovan “Zelo” Man included in the team already, the new team is comprised of five players and two coaches. The Wild Rift roster of Cloud9 is as follows.

However, this is not the first time is Cloud9 entering the Wild Rift esports scene. The decision came live last June 2021 when they marked their entry into Wild Rift. Zelo was the only confirmed member then and the organization opened tryouts for local players only to select members for their Wild Rift team. Starting from then, the team was playing with temporary players. After confirming their slot in the Summoner Series Finals 2021 by playing Major 3 qualifier, the team now announces their new roster officially.

A long journey ahead for the new team in the upcoming tournaments

The $70,000 prize pool featured event, Summoner Series Finals 2021, is not only a regional championship as it sounds. It is the stage for one of the teams to directly qualify for the upcoming Horizon Cup 2021. To make it through the finale event of the upcoming championship, Cloud9 has to fight with other big names such as Sentinels, Immortals, Tribe Gaming NA.
