Coca-Cola joins hands with Wild Rift Esports as the worldwide founding partner

The partnership will create a unique fun experience and value for the community

Riot’s popular MOBA and one of the fastest-growing esports titles League of Legends: Wild Rift has entered into a strategic partnership with Coca-Cola. The partnership will put Wild Rift Esports and carbonated soft drink manufacturer Coca-Cola together, thus, providing an opportunity to connect players and fans in a ‘meaningful way’. The multi-year partnership is the first of its kind in mobile gaming and esports.

The first phase of the partnership will kick off with the ‘It must be Real’ campaign. Besides that, Coca-Cola will introduce a weekly content series co-created with Wild Rift to uplift the fan experience. These will be a start to the greater aim – to create value for the community.

Riot Games’ Global Head of Wild Rift Esports, Leo Faria said, “Coca-Cola helped launch what is now the biggest esports on the planet, League of Legends Esports, so I’m thrilled that they see the future in Wild Rift Esports as well.” “This partnership will span across more than 100 countries, including the eight regional leagues that serve as the foundation for our sport,” he further added.

However, this is not the first time Coca-Cola is teaming up with Riot’s Wild Rift. It partnered with the game’s PC version before. From 2014 to 2016, the company collaborated with the League of Legends for its World Championship and provided a custom viewing experience and merchandise.

He also said that the company is now looking forward to working closely with the team at Wild Rift to bring new content and experiences to more fans around the world in the coming months and years.

Wild Rift has conducted many esports events last year. With the experience the game gathered last year, it has launched the first official competitive season in 2022. The global competitive stage is divided into eight regions and the best teams from all over the regions will join the final event of the 2022 competitive season, the Wild Rift Icons Global Championship which will take place this summer.
