COD Mobile India Challenge 2022 announced with a prize pool of $80,000 (₹60 lacs)

Players will compete for the grand prize pool and more than 370,000 COD Points

NODWIN Gaming, one of the world’s premier esports businesses, has partnered up with Activision, one of the most renowned global producers, and publishers of interactive entertainment, to bring back the COD Mobile India Challenge 2022, a premium esports tournament series.

The tournament series will begin on May 17, 2022, with a massive prize pool of $80,000 (₹60 lacs), which will be the series’ greatest ever prize pool! It will also award top-performing players with COD Points, the in-game currency of the free-to-play mobile shooter game, with over 370,000 points (worth over ₹ 50 lacs) up for grabs.

How to register for COD Mobile India Challenge 2022

Registrations for this premier series have opened on May 7, 2022, and will have a cap of 256 teams per qualifier. Teams will play single-elimination matches in Multiplayer and Battle Royale formats. The top 8 teams from each qualifier in the Battle Royale format will earn a spot in the grand finals. Similarly, the top 4 teams from each qualifier in the Multiplayer format will compete in the grand finals.

The COD Mobile India Challenge will see registered teams compete in the Battle Royale and Multiplayer formats across 2 seasons. Each season will have 2 stages – consisting of the qualifier finals, followed by the grand finale. For the Battle Royale series, the registrations will end on May 15th for Qualifier 1 and will end on 22nd May for Qualifier 2. The matches for the qualifier 1 will be played between the 17th and 22nd of May. And the matches for Qualifier 2 will be played between the 24th and 29th of May.

For the Multiplayer Series, the registrations will end on June 5th for Qualifier 1 and will end on June 12th for Qualifier 2. The matches for Qualifier 1 will be played between the 7th and 12th of June. And the matches for Qualifier 2 will be played between the 14th and 19th of June.

Tournament Format

COD Mobile India Challenge 2022: Battle Royale

Qualifier 1 also termed online qualifiers will be comprised of 256 teams battling it out against each other. This Battle Royale challenge will be played in full squad (4v4) mode and not 2v2 mode. The Top 16 of each qualifier will play BO5 on the final day. Furthermore, the top 8 teams from each qualifier will qualify for Grand Finals. In the grand finals, all qualified teams will play BO10 matches to determine the winner of the challenge.

COD Mobile India Challenge 2022: Multiplayer

Qualifier 1 also termed online qualifiers will be comprised of 256 teams battling it out against each other. The Multiplayer challenge will be played in Single Elimination BO3 format. Speaking of match modes, it will be Hardpoint till Quarter Finals, and Hardpoint > Search & Destroy > Hardpoint for the semi-finals and finals.

The top 4 teams from each qualifier will qualify for Grand Finals. Also, the Semi-Finals and Finals of each qualifier will be live-streamed on Youtube. In the semi-finals, all qualified teams will play a Double Elimination BO3 and then proceed to the Grand Finals where they will play BO5 matches to determine the winner of the challenge.

Prize Pool

Commencing on May 17th, 2022, the tournament series features a mega prize pool of ₹60 Lakhs – the series’ largest ever! Here’s how the Prize pool is divided among the two different challenges in this series.

COD Mobile India Challenge 2022: Battle Royale

  • 1st Place: ₹6,00,000 ($7700)
  • 2nd Place: ₹3,00,000 ($3900)
  • 3rd Place: ₹1,40,000 ($1800)
  • 4th Place: ₹1,00,000 ($1300)
  • 5th – 8th Place: ₹ 40,000 ($516)
  • 9th – 12th Place: ₹30,000 ($387)
  • 13th – 16th Place: ₹20,000 ($2600)

COD Mobile India Challenge 2022: Multiplayer

  • 1st Place: ₹6,00,000 ($7700)
  • 2nd Place: ₹3,00,000 ($3900)
  • 3rd Place: ₹2,00,000 ($2600)
  • 4th Place: ₹1,50,000 ($1900)
  • 5th – 6th Place: ₹75,000 ($970)
  • 7th – 8th Place: ₹50,000 ($645)
