After two days of intense battle, the Korean powerhouse, DAMWON Gaming emerged as the champions of the PUBG Mobile Rivals Cup (PMRC) Japan vs Korea 2022. They also have confirmed their slot in the upcoming PUBG Mobile Global Championship (PMGC), by winning the tournament.

PUBG Mobile Rivals Cup Korea vs Japan 2022 was held with 16 teams from Japan and Korea. Eight teams from each of the countries participated in this event for a slot in the global event of PUBG Mobile. DAMWON Gaming came into the tournament as the runners-up of the PUBG Mobile Rivals Cup 2022: Korea Qualifier.
Day 1
DAMWON Gaming had a decent start to the tournament, after coming at #2 in the first match. They managed 16 points in the first match, giving them a good boost ahead of the other teams. The second match saw a shaky performance from the Champions, as they only managed to earn 7 points from the second match of Day 1.
DWG managed to clinch the chicken dinner with a whopping 19 points on the third match of Day 1. The team came #16 and #11 with 0 and 2 points, respectively on the fourth and fifth match of Day 1. After the end of Day 1, DWG was the 6th place with 44 points. The Japanese team ZETA Division led the leaderboard on Day 1 with 63 points. Â
Day 2
After some shaky performance on Day 1, DAMWON Gaming had a tough task of a brilliant comeback on the final day of the tournament. The team started the day with a really good performance as they came #1 with 31 points. In the second match, DWG came in 4th place with 14 points.
With this match, DAMWON Gaming got to the top of the leaderboard with 89 points and a 10 pts lead from ZETA DIVISION. DAMWON Gaming maintained their form in the tournament, as they became second with 21 points on both the third and fourth matches of the final day. Finally, DAMWON Gaming got the chicken dinner in the final match of the final day and confirmed their entry to the PUBG Mobile Global Championship 2022.Â
