Genshin Impact players from the SEA countries compete in the Warrior’s Expedition in the Genshin Impact SEA Carnival 2022, the esports tournament organized by HoYoverse. In the invitation-only competition, several Genshin Impact tasks will be completed by selected teams of Travelers from all around Southeast Asia for a prize pool of US $10,000.
Additionally, there will be celebrity guests to cheer on the competitors. US $2000 dollars will go to the second-place team. The third and fourth-placed teams will receive US $1,000 each and US $1,000 in Primogems for each member. The fifth to eighth-placed teams will receive US $500 each in addition to US $500 in Primogems for each member.
The eligible countries include Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Timor-Leste, Burma (Myanmar), Brunei, and Laos. There are only 64 spots available for registration for the Genshin Impact SEA Carnival. Several streaming platforms will broadcast the Genshin Impact SEA Carnival live. And viewers will also have the chance to participate in live contests for extra rewards. You must move quickly as there are only 64 team slots total available across all SEA nations, and registrations will be closed once all slots have been filled.
Genshin Impact SEA Carnival 2022: Schedule and Format
The registration for Genshin Impact SEA Carnival opened on November 12 and will close on November 24, 2022. The qualifying rounds will be happening on November 26 and 27. The final round will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on December 17 and 18, 2022.
The event is a team game wherein players and their crew will need to accomplish the following goals in Warrior’s Expedition to win. These are the two events to be played in the Genshin Impact SEA Carnival:
1. Domain Challenge
In this game mode, the team that is participating will have to complete Domains in the game as quickly as possible. Here the least amount of time will win the event in a ranking. The teams will be challenged on how to formulate the most efficient team with the best teamwork to clear the challenge.
2. Sprint Challenge
The next game mode is also a team race-type game where each team will need to finish a Domain Challenge and then sprint to the designated locations without the use of waypoints. Here the players will be challenged on how creative they will be in not just completing the Domain but also the quickest way possible
Genshin Impact SEA Carnival 2022: Tournament Prizes
The team that completes the Warrior’s Expedition event the quickest will get a monetary award of 4,000 USD as well as bragging rights. The full details of the prizes offered in the tournament are listed as follows:
- Champion: 4,000 USD in cash
- Runner-up: 2,000 USD in cash
- Third and Fourth: 1,000 USD in cash and an additional 1,000 primogems for each member.
- Fifth to Eighth: 500 USD in cash and additional 500 primogems for each member.
How to register for the Genshin Impact SEA Carnival 2022
Each of the three-person teams will compete in the Genshin Impact SEA Carnival. These teams will then embark on Warrior’s Expeditions, where they will complete a predetermined list of tasks in a predetermined order in a predetermined time. Completing Domains or engaging in open-world exploration are examples of these duties.
The following countries are eligible to join: Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Brunei, Burma (Myanmar), Cambodia, Timor-Leste, and Laos. Additionally, participants must be 18 years of age or older to register.
