Honor of Kings International Championship 2022, better known as KIC 2022 is the grandest stage of the Honor of Kings championship. This year’s KIC is going to be the first edition of the event with global teams from all around the world. The tournament will replace AIC and WCC officially. The Chinese teams or KPL teams will participate in the event from Shenzhen while the global teams or non-KPL teams will compete from Seoul. The tournament will be played in the Global version of the game. KIC 2022 will feature a massive prize pool of $10,000,000 USD. Level Infinite and VSPN is going to be the organizer of the event.

Group Stage
The group stage will start on the 3rd of December, 2022 and conclude on the 13th of December, 2022. The 16 participating teams will be divided into four groups with four teams in each one of them. The group stage will be played in a double round-robin format. Each match will be played in a Best of 2 (Bo2) format with the global ban-pick method. The top two teams from each group will proceed to the knockout stage.
Group Stage point system
The following point system will be followed in the group stage of the tournament:
- Winning 2-0 grants 3 points.
- Drawing 1-1 grants 1 point.
- Losing 0-2 grants 0 points.
Knockout Stage
The knockout stage will start on the 16th of December, 2022 and continue up to the 30th of December, 2022. The stage will be held in a single-elimination bracket. All the matches of the knockout stage will be played in a Best of 7 (Bo7) format.
